Act 1: Scene 13: Can You Feel The Love Tonight?

(We're in the same location as the last scene. Rose just finished explaining what she saw when her power started acting up. The boys all start slowly gaining their memory back.)

Roman: So you're telling us that your parents knew this would happen?

Rose: I guess so.

Virgil: Those little-

Patton: Virgil...

Virgil: Sorry Patt.

Rose: But that's not all! I saw...someone else. I don't know who at all though! After I heard my mom pleading for me to stop I blanked out. Or I guess I "woke up".

(Rose starts getting light-headed and leans on Thomas's shoulder. He sits her down, and Virgil runs over and holds her hand. Roman looks over at Patton and gives him a smirk.)

Thomas: Rose, are you feeling better?

Rose: No...why would they do that to us? Why would they hurt the kingdom like that? I could've stopped this madness from the start! If I wasn't so selfish...

Virgil: Rose, there's nothing you could've done to prevent this.

Logan: Precisely. What I'm wondering is, who wiped our memories? Both the king and the queen were busy with you, and they had to work for your family. Therefore, making it impossible for them to forget.

Thomas: First of all, where did this power even come from? Was she born with it like Jeff, Deceit, and Remus? Was it a curse?

Logan: Well, I have a theory for that too.

Roman: What is it? 

Logan: I think the power comes from the necklace.

(The necklace starts glowing dark blue and green. Virgil helps Rose stand up.)

Virgil: Rose, come with me on a walk? I think you need some time to cool down for a bit.

Rose: Okay, I'll go.

(Virgil and Rose walk downstage right hand in hand, while the others are upstage left. Rose's necklace glows purple and green now.)

*music starts here*

Roman: I can see what's happening

Logan: I can't, what?

Roman: And they don't have a clue

Logan: Who's they?

Roman: They'll fall in love and here's the bottom line
We finally got a sister

Thomas: Oh, I get it

Roman: The sweet caress of twilight

Patton: Yep

Thomas: There's magic everywhere

Logan: What's everywhere?

Patton: And with all this romantic atmosphere

Patton, Roman, and Thomas: Love's in the air

(Virgil and Rose are walking around the stage, hand in hand. The necklace is now only glowing bright purple.)

Virgil and Rose: Can you feel the love tonight?
The peace the evening brings
The world, for once, in perfect harmony
With all its living things

(Rose starts dancing, trying to get everything off her mind, while Virgil is watching smiling.)

Virgil: So many things to tell her
But how to make her see that she's amazing?
Impossible
She would never believe me

(Rose stops dancing and motions to Virgil to try. While he's dancing she smiles and shakes her head at him)

Rose: I'm holding back, I'm hiding
But what, I can't let him know
I can't be the queen he thinks I am
There's no queen inside

(Rose joins him dancing. They eventually fall down, and the flower falls out of Rose's hair. Virgil picks it up and holds it out to Rose. He grabs the top of the stem, and she grabs the bottom part. They lean forward till their foreheads are touching.)

Rose and Virgil: Can you feel the love tonight?
The peace the evening brings
The world, for once, in perfect harmony
With all its living things

(Virgil puts the flower back in her hand, and Virgil sits up. Rose sits up too and puts her head on his shoulder. They start holding hands. Rose's necklace is glowing a dark purple.)

Rose and Virgil: Can you feel the love tonight?
You needn't look too far
Stealing through the night's uncertainties
Love is where we are

(Virgil leans in, and the two share a kiss. Rose pulls away, and they stand up. Virgil and Rose walk back to the castle hand in hand, smiling a lot.)

Roman: And since they fell love tonight

Logan: It can be assumed

Thomas: They can both finally be happy

Logan, Roman, Thomas, Patton: In short, our family has grown

(The lights fade away slowly.)
