(We open up on Remus and Janus standing together on the stage by themselves.)

Remus: So...what are you going to do?

Janus: About what?

Remus: Oh I don't know, the fact that you captured the queen, forced her to marry you, and confessed that you loved me.

Janus: Look Remus! Of course I love you, I've loved you this whole time! Tell me how I was supposed to be a leader and be openly gay in a world full of people who woudldn't accept me!

Remus: I understand it's hard but-

Janus: No you don't Remus! How could you understand? You were on the street when I found you. Yes you had struggles, much harder than mine, but you weren't in charge of keeping a whole kingdom safe. You have no idea what it is like.

(Janus turns around trying to hold himself together. Remus slowly walks over to Janus and puts a hand on his shoulder. The music starts)

Remus: Why are you afraid of them?

Janus: What do you mean?

Remus: They just want to go back home

Janus: Why don't you go join them then?

Remus: No, I'm staying by you
She loves Virgil, not you

Janus: Well that's too bad

Remus: She has the kind of love for him that we once had

Janus: I don't love her at all

Remus: I know, but Virgil loves her

Janus: So...?

Remus: Put an end to this

(Remus walks in front of Janus. He grabs his hands softly and kneels in front of him.)

Remus: Janus, my friend
Janus, my king
Janus, my old love
If you truly loved me
Please let her go
All of her sorrow won't fit in her chest
It just burns like a fire in the pit of her chest
And she just wants her kingdom to be finally safe
When will you let her go

Janus: When?
As soon as I can have full power
I can finally make my parents proud
And I won't have the nightmares anymore
I won't have anymore fears
Give them a piece and they' ll take it all
Show them the crack and they'll tear down the wall
Let them be different and the Kingdom will fall
The Kingdom will fall for the lies

(Remus stands up and puts a hand on Janus' face)

Remus: Janus no one wants your power
I understand you're scared of our love
But you'll never lose me at all

(Janus backs up and Remus pulls his hand down by his side)

Janus: You still don't understand me at all
I will lose everything if I let her go
I won't be king, and for you I can't provide
When will you realize that

Remus: When?
I will when you let me in
I promise you won't lose me
We don't need a kingdom
To love each other again

(They both kneel and face each other, holding hands)

Both: And how can we love once again
If I'm/you're not in charge
Can we last if we lose everything
Can we, can we, can we?

(The music stops)

Remus: Janus...please

Janus: Okay. Under one condition

(The lights fade out and we hear laughter coming from two people)
