Sam pressed a kiss on Gabe's forehead. Photos have been taken, the food has been eaten and the cake has been cut. The newlywed couple had locked themselves in their room for the night.
"I love you," Gabriel smiled and put his head on Sam's chest. "You're the absolute best."
"I love you too." His hand ran through Gabe's hair. His neat hair-do was gone for hours. "Gabriel Winchester."
Gabriel smiled. "Say that again, that was beautiful."
"Gabriel Winchester."
Gabe pulled up the blanket. "You're so amazing."
"Thank you," Sam smiled. "Do we have plans for the honeymoon already?"
"I like the beach," Gabe said. "As soon as the babies are a little older."
"Sounds good to me." Sam stretched his back. "You'll get some breakfast in bed tomorrow."
"Are you gonna treat me like this forever now?"
"I already did," Sam laughed.
"Okay, okay." Gabe rose his hands. "Less princessy, okay."
"I love my little princess." Sam pressed a kiss on his head.
"You suck," Gabe laughed.
"I think you're talking about yourself."
Gabe watched him, then blushed. "You're dirty."
Sam laughed. "Shh."
"I feel like you should sleep," Gabe smiled. "I don't want you to be tired when you make me breakfast."
"But I wanna stay awake, use this day to its fullest."
Gabe took his phone and watched the clock. 3:47 am. Sam chuckled. He knew he should sleep so he could enjoy the next day as well. A sleepless night had never bothered Sam before, though, so why would he start now? Sam smiled and stretched his back. Then, the babies started crying.
Gabe sighed and got up. "I'll take care of it," he mumbled as he put his underwear on.
"We can do it together." Sam joined him and unlocked the door. The babies' room was almost directly next to theirs. Sam got in and picked up Brie. "Hey, baby girl. Are you hungry? Or did you have a nightmare?" His voice was soft and gentle. He walked over to the toy chest and got out a small plushie.
"Raphy here definitely has a full diaper," Gabe laughed. "Maybe Brie doesn't like the sound of her brother crying."
Sam smiled. He made sure her diaper wasn't dirty and gave her the plushie. "Do you like tigers?" he asked softly. Brie wrapped her little fingers around the tiger's arm.
"That's good," Sam hushed and put her down in the bassinet. "Goodnight."
Gabe smiled and put Raph down as well. "You're so good with kids, I didn't know."
"I'm not." Sam pulled him close and pressed a kiss on his forehead. "I'm doing what my intuition tells me."
"That's what being good with kids means." Gabe laughed and kissed his chin. "My love."
"Cute." Sam closed his eyes and yawned. "It's getting late."
"I told you." Gabe took his hand and led him to their bedroom. "Hubby needs sleep."
"You called me hubby," Sam said, a soft blush spreading on his cheeks.
"Because you're my husband now and if you think I won't brag about it, you're wrong." Gabe puffed up their pillows. "Now get in this bed."
Sam got in the bed, then pulled Gabe into the sheets as well. "I love my caring husband," he smiled.
"And I love my husband who better falls asleep now."
Sam laughed and turned on his side. "Goodnight," he said and closed his eyes. Soon after, he fell asleep.Gabriel watched Sam sleep, calm and peaceful. He sighed softly. Sleeping was boring. Staying awake was boring. He couldn't leave Sam's side either, though. Sam was far too cute to ignore.
Gabe traced his fingers along Sam's jawline, through his hair and smiled. He reflected the day. His heart skipped a few beats. Sam had been so shaky, so nervous. He never expected the strong, tall Sam Winchester to get all nervous and shaky at his wedding.
"I love you," Gabriel whispered and pressed a kiss on Sam's cheek. He pulled up the blanket and ran his hand through Sam's hair. One day he'd convince Sam to wash Gabe's hair.
A deep sigh escaped Gabe's lips.
He wished Sam could feel his wings. He wanted his husband to run his fingers through the feathers and wash them so they could be as soft as Sam's hair.
He longed for affection. It had been millennia since he felt anything other than his own hands, slowly stroking his wings to ease the emotional pain.
When he was young, he often let the fledgelings sleep in his spread-out wings. Maybe he could take the twins and do the same.
Thinking about this made him happy.
