Sam tucked in the twins and walked back to the living room where Gabriel waiting on the floor. "What did I miss?"
"Lots of love, so we'll have to do that now." Gabe pulled him down on the floor and clung to his arm.
Sam laughed if so a bit scratchy. "Already picked a movie?"
"Not yet," Gabe said. "Wanted to pick one with you."
"Cute." Sam smiled and grabbed the remote. "So, Christmas movies?"
"Obviously." With a snap of his fingers, hot chocolate and sugar cookies rested on Gabe's lap. "It's snowy season."
"Didn't think you'd be the Christmassy kinda guy. You know, like... as an archangel."
"Sam, how long have we been dating?"
Sam smiled. "We're not dating anymore, though." He pressed a gentle kiss on Gabe's forehead. "It's our second Christmas together, and my first one as your husband."
Gabe smiled brightly. "I love you so much." He kissed along the side of Sam's face. "And I'm so lucky to have such a perfect husband."
"Suck up," Sam laughed. "But I'm very grateful for an amazing husband, three loving children and my supportive family."
Gabe took a large sip from his cup. "What do you think about becoming a brother again?"
"I mean, I'm happy for them. They're a bit old for having children still but who am I to tell them what to do?" Sam hesitated. He watched as Gabe drank more hot chocolate. "So, human and demon make anti-christ. Human and angel make nephilim. Now... If your dad and Becky-"
"I don't know, I don't care, and I won't encourage them either," Gabe said, voice stern and low. "Last time dad decided to give us a half-sibling, I had to tell her that-" He stopped and sighed. "You know the story already."
Sam let out a deep cough. "Relax, sunshine. We should enjoy our vacation." He took a cookie and held it against Gabe's lips. "I know you want it."
Gabe took the cookie with his teeth, leaning against Sam's hand petting his head. Sam smiled, running his hands through Gabe's soft hair. Soft noises left Gabe's lips along with low crunching. "Your hands are so huge." He reached for it and kissed his knuckles.
Sam chuckled and pulled Gabe closer. "This is getting too cheesy for me."
"You love cheesy."
"I love you."
"You're doing it again!" Gabe laughed and pressed his lips onto Sam's. He wrapped his arms around Sam's neck and pulled himself closer.
"Babe," Sam mumbled in the small breathing gaps Gabe gave him. "Living room."
"Don't care." Gabe put the mugs and plates aside to sit down on Sam's lap.
"Serah should come home soon." Sam tried to hold back when Gabe moved from his lips to his neck. "I don't wanna scar her for life."
"You're so boring, Sammy." Gabe frowned. "I wanna have hot couch sex."
Sam chuckled. "I feel we should get a couch for our bedroom."
"We could use the one right behind you."
"Gabe." Sam had to smile at his determination. "I thought you wanted to watch a movie."
"I thought you wanted hot chocolate."
Sam nodded. "Did you use lactose-free milk."
Gabe watched the mug and itched his nose. "No..."
"How long have we been dating?" Sam laughed.
"Shut up, Sam. Don't use my lines on me." Gabe pressed kisses on Sam's face and put his hands on his shoulders. "You don't even wear a cozy sweater."
"Have you ever seen me wear a sweater, babe?" Sam laughed.
"I would love to see what's underneath that plaid."
"Gabriel."
"I'll stop." Gabe giggled and cuddled into the crook of Sam's neck. "It's getting dark outside," Gabe said. "Feeling like taking a little walk in the snow when Serah is home?"
Sam smiled and ran his hand down his back. "I think I saw a little stream just outside of the cottage. Looked like a pretty cozy place."
"But only if you put on warm clothing." Gabe put his head on Sam's chest and paused for a second. "Your breath doesn't sound healthy and I don't want you to get more sick."
"Sure, babe," Sam smiled. "Only if Serah gets home in time." He leaned his cheek against the top of Gabe's head and ever so slowly, Sam's eyelids closed shut.
