Lion Guard: The Journey To The Tree Of Life

Chapter 4 The River

I hope you enjoyed the chapter with the pride lands and outlands there will be more later on.

The Lion Guard are almost out of the woods, but there is one more thing that stands in their way.

"Un-Bunga-lievable," Bunga said in shock.

As the guard stops all they can see is a big river with a big current, in the middle of their way.

"Sorry Kion the water is moving too fast we won't be able to swim through it" Beshte said

Kion takes a look around and notices something.

"Over there If Beshte could knock down that tree we could make it to the other side" Kion suggests

"Yeah Kions right, could you Beshte?" Fuli comments.

"Only one way to find out, twende kiboko" Beshtes saids as he pushes his back into the tree.

All you could hear was the sound of roots snapping then the tree started to fall making a loud sound after hitting the ground.

"Great Job big B," Bunga said to congratulate Beshte

"No problem" Beshte replied back

Before the guard crossed Anga and Ono flew to the other side to wait for the others. First Bunga and Beshte crossed, then Fuli, all that was left was Kion and Makini.

"Come on Kion," Makini said while she crossed

"Right behind you" Kion Replied

As Makini and Kion were crossing,  Bunga noticed something swimming underneath Makini and Kion.

"Woah...Did you see that Ono" Bunga questioned?

"No Bunga because I can't see," Ono said annoyed.

Right......Sorry Ono, but it had a big tail and buck teeth with brown fur. Bunga told Ono to describe the creature.

"That could be anything Bunga," Ono tells Bunga 

Then, the bridge started shaking, Kion looked behind him and saw something eating the tree they were on.

"Makini GO RUN!!" Kion said in a quick and loud manner.
Makini and Kion started to move faster across the tree.

"It's eating through the wood quickly guys" Kion saids as they are still running.

Kion knows they aren't going to make it so Kion decides to grab Makini and throw her.  Luckily She lands on Beshte. But, after Kion threw her the bridge snapped, "FULI" Kion yelled scared before he fell in the river.

"KION" Everyone yells

"Uhhhh...Guys....." Kion tries to say as he tries to keep his head above the water.

"Anga follow him" Fuli orders

"On it" Anga nods and starts to follow Kion

The Lion Guard are running down the stream to catch up with Kion.

"Kion watch out up ahead" Anga yelled

But before Kion could react he hit a rock head first and fell into the water.

"Guys Kions Unconscious" Anga yells to the guard

"Can you grab him Anga" Fuli yells back

"No the waters current is too strong If I try to grab him I might fall in too" Anga argues.

Fuli P.O.V
That means its too strong for Beshte, Hang in there Kion were coming.

"No...No...No we have to get him," Fuli said in a panicking voice.

"Ummm...Guys......Guys.......Guys...."
Bunga yells trying to get the guard's attention.

"What Bunga" Fuli yells back.

"Look up ahead," Bunga tells everyone.

"What is it," Ono asks.

"A wall Of trees blocking the water, and more of those brown furry creatures". Makini saids in confusion.

"A wall of trees... Brown fur.......Big tail.....Buck's teeth.....Hawaza.....Hawaza that's it" Ono yells.

"Whats Up Ono" Beshte asks

"The one that ate our bridge is a beaver," Ono said feeling stupid

"A beave...What?" Bunga asks

"A beaver they break apart trees with their teeth to build things like a home or a dam, they spend all day getting food, their good swimmers too, common knowledge really" Ono stated.

"Come on boys," said a mysterious voice

As the guard Look the beavers were swimming through the harsh current, and they grabbed Kion, and then pulled him out of the water, placing him on Shore. Before Fuli said anything she ran past the beavers to Kions side.

Fuli P.O.V
I couldn't believe my eyes My heart dropped because all I could see was Kion laying there not moving. I decided to shake him to try and wake him up. Kion.....Kion......Kion...Wake up...Please... As I was shaking him I was holding in tears. I then rolled him over so I could put my paw on his chest and listen for a heartbeat, I also put my ear close to his mouth to listen for breathing.

While Fuli did this the lion guard stood in a defensive stance looking at the beavers.

"We helped your friend," a beaver said.

"If it wasn't for your beavers you wouldn't have needed to save him" Bunga argues back as the guard stands strong ready to defend.

"Guys...Guys, it's about Kion" Fuli approaches quickly. kion needs our help NOW!!!" Fuli saids with a serious tone in her voice.

As the guard rush over they can see is their leader laying on the ground and not moving.
