Chapter 52 Remembrance

As Makini cried, Kion cried beside Alex to help support him as they mourned the death of Buku while The Lion Guard, Night Pride, and Beavers held in tears as they fought off the squirrels. "SKIP! WHERE IS TALON!!!" A squirrel yelled gliding to Skip to help him up. Skip shook his head as he looked around and saw their squirrels going down starting to lose against the others. Kion wiped his tears and got up to face skip, "GET OUT OF HERE OR ELSE!!!" Kion threatened growling. Skip backed up as Kion growled and Skip looked around to see himself and his squirrels about to be surrounded. "RETREAT" Skip yelled, "But what about Talon," A squirrel asked, "Forget him unless you want to die" Skip explained gliding away. The Night Pride, and Kion growled as the others fought and some squirrels retreated listening to Skip while others stayed and fought but eventually lost and were defeated.

After this long battle against the squirrels Bunga hopped off, "We won" Bunga cheered but he stopped as he turned and saw everyone gathered around Buku as all the beavers started collect flowers and blossoms and laying it on him. "Hey, Makini what are they doing?" Bunga whispered asking Makini. Makini turned her head to look at Bunga, "When one beaver falls its tradition of the beavers to lay any flower on them to remember them and as a funeral" Makini explained. Kion looked over and saw Rani and Fuli run back together and he ran to them hugging both of them, "I'm glad your both safe" Kion cried. They both hugged Kion smiling, "We're Okay Kion....right Fuli" Rani added. Fuli smiled, "Rani is right don't worry Kion" Fuli added as the three of them hugged.

They broke up the smile as the three of them picked up flowers with their mouths and one at a time dropped it on Buku and whispered some words, "Thanks for your help Buku you helped me learn more about myself and Kion" Fuli whispered. "I havnt known you long but you helped us find Kion you healed Kion, Fuli, and I and I am eternally thankful for your help Buku" Rani whispered. "Id it wasn't for you BukuI'd would be dead you saved me from the river the first time and you helped heal me again, I won't break our promise" Kion whispered. After the Lion Guard, Night Pride, and Beavers said what they wanted Alex cried and Makini and Nirmala reassured him.

As the Lion Guard and Night Pride mourned with the Beavers Fuli and Rani walked over to Kion. Kion was looking out to the sky remembering what happened to Buku and what he said about following your heart. "Kion" Fuli whispered, Kion turned and saw Fuli and Rani both behind him looking worried.  "Are you okay Kion?" Rani asked, Kion froze and a tear dropped from the side of his face. "No I'm not" Kion cried as more tears were forming, Rani and Fuli exchanged looks of sadness then looked at Kion. Fuli and Rani both nuzzled Kion but he contiued to cry. "It's all my fault I couldnt help Buku in time  I let Buku down, Alex, down, I let everyone down, worst of all I let both of you down"Kion explained. Fuli and Rani hugged Kion, "Kion....It's not your fault you did the best you could, we all know your doing your best" Rani consoled. Fuli nuzzled Kion too,  "Rani is right Kion, and you didnt let us down and you never will" Fuli added.

Kion wiped his eyes as Fuli and Rani spoke to him, "Thanks Fuli and Rani" Kion thanked smiling. But, Kion turned looking over the cliff in the sky remebering what happened a day ago. 

"Kion are you sure?" Ono asked looking at Kion curriously, "Ono your the only one who memorized the map and know where to go, I know everything should be safe but could you just check it out and come back after" Kion explained. Ono noded and flew away  leaving the tree of life.

"Kion is sonething else wrong? Fuli asked, Kion turned to look at Fuli and Rani. "I told Ono to check something for me and I hope he returns soon" Kion explained. "Where did you send Ono" Rani asked. Kion sighed and looked up at the two of them, "The Pride Lands" Kion answered.
