Chapter 8 Buku's Talk To Fuli

As the Lion guard are headed back to Buku's lodge Fuli is deep in thought. Fuli is thinking about what happened earlier.

"I....I...Can't" Kion said as he was losing his grip.

"Yes, you can because you're the strongest Lion I've ever met we need you......I need you," Fuli said as she grabbed Kions paw.

"Ummm Fuli," Makini said as she shook Fuli.

Fuli then snapped out of it and saw Makini trying to get her attention.

"Are you ok Fuli?" Makini asked as she looked at Fuli.

"Yeah, I'm just glad nothing bad happened to Kion," Fuli said cheerfully.

As the lion guard reached the lodge Buku came to greet them.

"You got your friend back that's great," Buku said joyfully.

Beshte and Fuli brought Kion back to his spot inside, as the rest of the lion guard helped the beavers repair the wall.

"Sorry about the lodge Buku," Fuli said apologizing to Buku.

Buku turned around and approached Fuli. "Its ok Fuli we can fix it, all that matters is that Kion is back safe and sound. Buku said both forgiving and reassuring Fuli.

After that Fuli and the lion guard were talking about what they are going to do next. As everyone agreed Fuli turned to look at Buku. "If it's ok with you Buku can we stay for one more night and we'll be on our way tomorrow morning," Fuli asked.

Buku looked at Fuli then shifted his eyes to look at the lion guard. You're all welcome to stay in our lodge, your friend does need time for his leg to heal," Buku said as he smiled at the lion guard.

Buku went into the lodge and the lion guard followed him inside. As the lion guard took a look around Fuli went to check on Kion.

Fuli P.O.V

As I looked at Kion he slept peacefully I was glad to see him feeling better, he wasn't bleeding anymore, his leg just needed time to heal. But I couldnt stop thinking about what happened at the cliff. "I....I...Can't" Kion said as he was losing his grip. Yes, you can because you're the strongest Lion I've ever met we need you......I need you. Fuli said as she grabbed Kions paw.  Why do I keep thinking about this, Is it possible I have feelings for Kion.

As Fuli looked up Buku was there and Fuli fell back as she was caught off guard.

 Sorry, Fuli Buku apologized smiling.

 It's Ok Buku just caught me off guard" Fuli admitted

"Where's the rest of the lion guard," Fuli asked. 

"They offered to help my colony repair the lodge," Buku told Fuli

"Do you need my help?" Fuli asked confused

"No, I want to talk to you about something," Buku said.

"Ok," Fuli said a little confused.

"Before I came it looked like you were deep and thought, and I heard what you did at the cliff Anga told me, and after everything from last night I have a question for you," Buku said.

"Do you have feelings for Kion?" Buku asked 

Fuli froze and blushed as Buku asked that question. I know its not my business but I really want to help" Buku said offering his assistance.

Fuli looked at Buku and sighed, "I ask myself the same question Buku and I don't know what to do" Fuli said quietly.

Buku looked at Kion and then looked back at Fuli.

"Tell me, how does Kion make you feel," Buku asked.

"every time I see him I just feel happy, whenever we look at each other he smiles and I smile back, whenever he is uneasy or stressed I try my best to help him," Fuli said smiling looking at Kion and looking back at Buku.

"You could say, you act and feel different around Kion," Buku said smiling.

Fuli smiled, "yeah you could say that, but Buku what if he doesn't feel the same way, what do I do," Fuli said concerned.

Buku put his hand on Fuli's shoulder.

Breath Fuli and listen to me your the only one who can decide that I can't decide for you all I can say is follow your heart, your heart will lead you to happiness and happiness will lead you to love" Buku said as he looked at Fuli.

Fuli looked at Buku and then looked at Kion and smiled, "thank you Buku I really needed that" Fuli said thankfully.

I'll leave you two alone Buku said as he turned and walked away. Fuli turned and walked to Kion and laid down beside him. Fuli put her paw on top of Kions, and she fell asleep right beside Kion.
