Chapter 37 The Search Continues

The Lion Guard and Night Pride followed Anga and Ullu to where they left Fuli and Rani. "Where are they?" Bunga asked curiously. Everyone looked around and didn't see any of them. Anga and Ullu landed, "They were just right here" Ullu explained. Baliyo stepped forward, "HOW COULD YOU JUST LEAVE THEM" Baliyo yelled. "BALIYO!" Surak called, Baliyo backed up and calmed down with Nirmala's and Makini's support. Scout walked ahead to look around the area for any clues or hints of where Fuli and Rani could have gone.

"GUYS!!" Scout called to the Night Pride and Lion Guard, after Scout called everyone ran over to see what Scout found. Everyone eyes widened as they saw claw marks on the edge near the river. "Did they fall in?" Bunga asked, as Bunga asked Surak turned to look at Ullu and Anga, "Ullu, Anga fly around to look for them" Surak ordered. "Right" They replied flying into the sky looking for Fuli, Rani, and Kion. "I say we split up again to continue looking for Kion, Fuli, and Rani" Scout added. Surak looked at Scout, "I agree, Let's move" Surak commented. Everyone scattered to look for Kion, Fuli, and Rani. 

Meanwhile In The Forest

Fuli and Rani walked in silence both looking for Kion, "Umm Fuli" Rani said hesitantly. Fuli turns her head to look at Rani, "Yeah Rani" Fuli answered hesitantly as well. "Can I ask you a question?" Rani asked, "Yeah go ahead Rani" Fuli answered. Rani sighs, "What you said back there did you mean it," Rani asked. Fuli stopped and looked at Rani worried, "Of course Rani, do you think I didn't" Fuli replied asking her question. Rani looked up and a tear fell down her face and Rani quickly wiped it away, "I don't understand why, I hurt you, I betrayed your trust, and becuase of me Kion could be dead" Rani cried looking down. Fuli looked and saw Rani upset and Fuli walked closer, "Rani It wasn't just you, I'm sorry" Fuli reassured and apologized. Rani looked up confused, "Why are you apologizing?" Rani asked wiping her tears. Fuli looked down, "I hurt you too, I should have talked to someone after hearing about you and Kion but instead, I told no one and I got fooled in the end and I hit Kion too into the river" Fuli explained trying not to cry.

Rani put her paw on Fuli's shoulder, "Queen Janna once told me to forgive yourself you must put the past behind and put the present ahead, Fuli we made mistakes but if we do this together we can solve and fix our mistakes" Rani reassured making herself feel better. Fuli looked up and wiped her tears and smiled, "Thanks Rani, your right let's do this" Fuli added and thanked. Fuli and Rani both continued walking into the forest together looking for Kion. Fuli was looking around and felt this forest looked familiar, "Rani are we still near the tree of life" Fuli asked. Rani paused and looked around, "No we're not near the tree of life, this forest is unfamiliar to me" Rani explained as they walked. As Fuli and Rani were walking they heard a tree fall down making a loud sound, "Come on Rani let's see what that was" Fuli insisted following the sound. Rani agreed and followed Fuli they were out of the forest near a river again and up ahead they saw a dam.

Fuli eyes widened seeing beavers breaking down trees and building a dam, "That's interesting haven't seen beavers around" Rani explained. Fuli ran to one of the beavers, "BUKU!!" Fuli called running. A beaver turned hearing his name and smiled seeing Fuli, "FULI!" Buku called back. Fuli and Rani were in front of Buku. "Buku meet....." Fuli was about to introduce, "Queen Rani" Buku interrupted bowing before the queen. Fuli and Rani looked confused, "How did you know?" Rani asked. "I'm sorry about your grandmother we were old friends, and word has spread that Rani has become queen" Buku explained. Fuli looked at Buku confused, "Buku why are you here" Fuli asked. "Well, Fuli whenever it rains heavily it's our job in the circle of life to build dams to make sure floods don't occur" Buku explained. A beaver ran over to Buku, "Sir were all done here" A beaver reported. "Alright let's head home" Buku ordered his pack, Buku turned to Fuli and Rani, "It was nice seeing you again hope to see you another time" Buku greeted goodbye.

"WAIT!!" Fuli yelled Buku turned quickly, "What's wrong Fuli?" Buku asked worried. "We need your help" Fuli begged. Rani and Fuli explained what happened to them and Kion, "Oh dear that's horrible news" Buku replied. Buku turned to his beavers, "Ok everyone Fuli needs our help again we will search the river while I go with Fuli and Rani" Buku ordered. The beavers smiled in agreement and jumped into the water to start searching, Rani and Fuli looked ar Buku, "Thak you" They both thanked. "Buku smiles, "No problem, I'll help any animal in need" Buku answered as he joined Rani and Fuli on the search for Kion.

Meanwhile With Kion

Kion slowy opened his eyes and he felt his leg hurting, his paws were stinging, and he had a bad headache. "Must..find..Fuli...and..Rani" Kion tried to motivate himself but when he tried to get up he completely collapsed onto the ground grunting in pain. Kion felt pain all over his body and head. Once again Kion vision was going blurry and in a few seconds, his head landed on the ground passing out.
