Chapter 53 Ono's Discovery

We may know what's happening at The Tree Of Life but where is Ono.......

Ono was flying near the backlands, "I can't believe I made it this far" Ono told himself. Ono continued to fly as he could see the border to the outlands. "Ok, all I have to do is find the royal family and tell them that we are okay and Kion is healed and we'll be back in a few days" Ono recalled Kion's message. Ono flew past the backlands and into the outlands looking around to see if Jasiri made any changes to the outlands in the Lion's Guards absence from the pride lands. Ono was amazed to see that the outlands didnt look as dead as before, "Jasiri really has been doing a great job" Ono commented. Before Ono could contiue a vulture flew down pushing Ono to the ground. "Argh MZINGO!" Ono shouted, "SHHHHH!!" Mzingo preassured hiding behind a rock covering Ono's mouth.

Ono was squirming, but Ono stopped when he heard a familiar voice, "Where did that vulture go"  Makucha asked looking at Chuluun. Chuluun rolled her eyes, "How did you lose a flying bird?" Chuluun asked annoyed. Makucha looked at Chuluun, "well you didnt help so maybe that's why" Makucha scoffed. "QUITET BOTH OF YOU!" Ruby shouted, "My head is going to explode if you keep arguing" Ruby advised. "Whatever the vulture is clearly not here so we need to look somewhere else" Chuluun suggested. Ruby, and Makucha followed Chuluun as they left heading back towards the Pride Lands.

Mzingo poped his head out to see them gone and uncovered Ono's mouth, "What's going on Mzingo?" What was that for?" Why are they here" Ono kept questioning. Mzingo looked at Ono, "I'll explain back at the hideout" Mzingo answered leading the way. "Hideout?" Ono questioned as he followed Mzingo. Ono and Mzingo flew to the edge of the outlands and Mzingo squeezed through a tight hole and Ono follwed. "Where are we?" Ono questioned, Mzingo looked out to the darkness, "Relax everyone it's Ono" Mzingo called into the darkness. The Jackals, Hyenas, Crocodiles, and some Vultures emerged out of the darkness, Ono was surprised to see all of them in here but Janja, Jasiri, Kiburi, Rei Rei, and Goi Goi were not here.

"What is going on?" Ono asked one more time, "A TAKEOVER!" A Jackal yelled. Ono backed up and his eyes widened. Mzingo walked over to Ono, "You missed a lot while youve beeen gone" Mzingo expalined. Ono looks around seeing them hurt, scared", and worried, "Who did this to all of you" Ono asked. "Zira!" Mzingo answered but when Mzingo said that name everyone backed up. "ZIRA! Ono shouted shock, "She's not alone either" A crocodille added. Ono looked confused, "For you to understand Ono I'll explain what happened" Mzingo went on.

Mzingo P.O.V

One day I was doing my daily patrol by order of prime minster Jasiri, but I saw something suspious in the backlands I saw two leopards a big lizard and wolves with Zira. I went to warn Jasiri and she went to see the royal family but when we went to speak to the royal family we were surprised to see Zira's outsiders there and we attacked but quickly Simba, Nala, and Kiara broke up the fight and told us that Zira's outsiders have joined Simba's pride and Zira was killed in the river. But we told them she was alive and then after that everything went dark.

Zira along with her new alies attacked the pride lands Jasiri told me to assemble the outlanders and I did so. We fought with the pride landers to defend it was a tough battle but we were winning until the wolves howled into the sky. I looked out in the distance and I couldnt believe what I saw an army of these animals charged in. They were nothing I've ever seen, they were fast, strong, fierce, they attacked with Zira. They stopped our army and we were forced to fall back, when I looked they had all the outlander leaders corned we tried to help but we stood no chance so we fled. The last thing I remember was seeing the royal family corned and Zira took over pride rock and the pride lands.

Ono eyes widened and the others shivered as Mzingo explained the story, "No that can't be" Ono denied. "It's true Ono without the Lion Guard the pride lands fell and Zira now had full control and none knows where the outland leaders are or the royal family" Mzingo explained. Ono got up heading for the exit, "Ono where are you going?" Mzingo asked. "I need to go back to the Tree Of Life and tell the others what happened" Ono explained. Mzingo looked at Ono, "Be careful Ono becuase you and the Lion Guard are the Pride Lands only hope" Mzingo explained. Ono nodded as he was headed for the exit, "Mzingo do you think he can do it" A Hyena asked. Mzingo sighed, "He has too, becuase if he doesn't we are doomed" Mzingo explained as Ono left the cave starting to fly back to the tree of life.
