Chapter 56 Moving On

As things are not going well in the pride lands back at the tree of life it's been two days since Buku died and since Ono left for the pride lands. Kion sat on the edge looking out to the mountain pass waiting for Ullu. In the distance, Kion could see Ullu flying to him and het got up excited to hear from Ullu. Ullu lands but Kion notices she has that same plain look she has had for the last few days, "I looked Kion, sorry to say no sign of Ono or Talon or Skip" Ullu reported sadly. Kion looked down as he heard the same news but he looked up at Ullu, "Please continue watching Ullu" Kion begged. Ullu felt bad for Kion, and she nodded and she turned around flying away back to her spot outside the mountain pass.

Kion slowly walks back to a tree on the edge and curled up to sleep, in the distance Rani, Fuli, Nirmala, and a beaver watched. "How long has he been doing that for," Nirmala asked, "For the last two days Kion's come here 3 times a day hoping either Anga or Ullu reports something" Fuli explained to Nirmala. All four of them were saddened and worried, "Have you tried talking to him" The Beaver asked. Rani looked at the beaver, "Yes both Fuli and I have together or alone at times, he listens but he's still troubled" Rani answered. "It's not his fault though" Nirmala added, "We know that Nirmala, but Kion still believes it's his fault" Fuli explained. 

They all sigh and The Beaver looks at Nirmala, Fuli, and Rani, "So your leader has doubts too" The Beaver advised. Rani looks back quickly, "Wait..what do you mean when you say too?" Rani asked. The Beaver sighed, "Alex has been the same but worse he hasn't been eating or drinking and no one knows where he is, he always walks alone" The Beaver explained. Nirmala sighed too, "Buku's death has impacted us all but Kion and Alex are the most affected" Nirmala pointed out. "The worst part is that Talon and Skip are still out there" Fuli added, Nirmala walks in front of them, "I'll speak to Makini but I say we need to help Kion and Alex as soon as possible becuase if Talon and Skip are still out there we need to be careful so nothing like this happens again" Nirmala suggested. "Fuli and I can talk to the Lion Guard and Night Pride" Rani suggested with Fuli's support. "And I can go talk to the beavers" The Beaver added so he could help, Nirmala smiles, "Then It's a plan....good luck everyone" Nirmala wished before the four of them split their ways.

Meanwhile at a new tree Talon and Skip with a few squirrels were recovering, "BE QUICK AND WE ATTACK!" Talon ordered still furious. Skip looked at Talon, "Brother you are crazy, we lost more than half of our forces becuase they were either defeated or left us completely" Skip objected. Talon ran at Skip pinning him to the wall of the tree with his claw out, "Listen to me closely I don't give a damn.....I don't care if I die...... The only thing I want is that Lion dead" Talon threatened. Skip was silent as his brother continued, "If you're not with me then leave....I need fierce and loyal squirrels who are willing to put their lives on the line with me to end this Lion" Talon announced letting go of his brother. When Skip hit the ground he coughed gasping for air, Talon turned to face the remainder of his forces, "IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE LIKE A COWARD THEN GO!! IF NOT STAY AND FIGHT WITH ME!!" Talon yelled giving everyone an order. The squirrels looked at Talon and kneeled one by one as they all supported him. Talon looked in Skip's direction and he kneeled before Talon. "Perfect now come and follow me my army, and let's find Kion and kill him this time" Talon exclaimed gliding out. The squirrels followed as they all glided following Talon out.

Talon and Skip's tree was far from the tree of life so it would take time to get there in the meantime as time passes Kion decided to go for a walk.  Kion was deep in thought thinking about what Buku said and he was still puzzled. As Kion walked he heard the sound of something being destroyed and the tree's falling. Kion ran to a small field with fallen tree's and his eyes widened as he saw Alex training. He was using his teeth and tail to destroy trees, "TAKE THAT YOU SQUIRRELS!" Alex yelled furious pretending the trees were squirrels. Kion felt this was unsettling and he ran out to Alex, "Alex Stop" Kion called. Alex turned and saw Kion, "Leave me alone Kion" Alex hissed turning around attacking more trees. "Alex I understand your pain but revenge is not the answer" Kion advised. "WHY NOT KION!" Alex yelled turning facing Kion, "THEY TOOK HIM JUST LIKE THAT, THEY DON'T PLAY FAIR SO MAYBE IT'S OUR TURN!" Alex shouted smashing his tail down cracking a log. Kion approached carefully, "Alex this isnt you" Kion tried to reassure. "I DON'T KNOW ME ANYMORE THEY TOOK THAT FROM ME AND MAYBE I'LL SHOW YOU HOW IT FEELS" Alex shouted backing whipping his tail in Kion's direction. Kion rolled dodging, "Alex don't do something you will regret" Kion growled.
