All the animals follow Rani and Makini until they see the elder laying down beside The Tree Of Life. Rani slowly approaches The Elder with The Night Pride, "Grandmother" Rani cried, "Rani" The Elder said weakly. Kion and The Lion guard approached Makini from behind, "How is she Makini?" Kion asked looking at Makini. Makini shook her head signalling Kion not good, "Where's Kion" The Elder asked trying to look for Kion. Kion walked over until he was in front of The Elder, "I'm right Here Elder" Kion said. The Elder turned her head to look at Kion, "I'm glad you, and your friends made it to The Tree Of Life, I can't thank you enough for everything" The Elder said smiling. The Lion Guard all looked at The Elder and smiled back, "Thank you for helping us" Kion said. The Elder smiled and turned to look at Rani, "Rani" The Elder called, I'm right here" Rani said approaching The Elder, "I know you'll be a great Queen" The Elder admitted. "But...Grandmother....I.....can't" Rani cried as tears were starting to form, The Elder places her paw wiping Rani tears, "Don't cry my dear, I'll always be with you and your not alone Rani look around," The Elder said. Rani looked up and saw The Night Pride, A bunch of Animals that live at The Tree Of Life, The Lion Guard, but Rani turned to look at Kion, She smiled and Kion smiled back. The Elder looked at The Night Pride, "Make sure you all help Rani, give her the strength she needs" The Elder explained the Night Pride gave head nods. Rani looked at The Elder and they nuzzled heads, "Thank You Grandmother" Rani whispered. "Don't thank me, Rani, you're strong and smart, I couldn't be any prouder" The Elder whispered. But after The Elder whispered her head rested on her paws and she closed her eyes. Rani looked at The Elder, "Goodbye Grandmother"Rani cried as she started to cry, The Animals all looked down for a moment of silence while Rani and The Night Pride cried. Rani walked away while The Night Pride went closer, while Rani cried in the back alone. Kion walked to catch up with Rani, "Rani I'm so sorry" Kion said slowly, Rani turned to look at Kion as tears were rushing down her face, "Thank You Kion" Rani sobbed as she nuzzled her face in Kion's chest. Kion felt weird at first but let Rani cry for the loss of her Grandmother.

Makini walked to the top of the rock so she could face everyone, "Animals of The Tree Of Life, as tradition we will all gather at the willows to mourn the death of The Elder, and at sunset, we will make Rani the queen" Makini announced. After Makini gave the announcement the animals left to prepare while Rani and Kion returned to The Lion Guard and The Night Pride.  "We are going to rest we'll see all of you later," Rani said as she and The Night Pride walked away. Fuli walks to get beside Kion, "Is Rani going to be Ok" Fuli asked looking at Kion, "Rani will be fine" Kion said smiling watching Rani and The Night Pride walk away. Bunga goes to both Kion and Fuli, "So after Rani becomes queen are we heading back to the Pride Lands" Bunga asked looking at Kion. "Not sure Bunga" Kion answered. Fuli looked at Kion surprised, "Wait Kion are you thinking about really staying here" Fui asked. Kion looks at Fuli, "I'm not sure Fuli let'stay for now so we can help The Night Pride out" Kion answered.

"If you say so," Fuli said, after their conversation, Kion and The Lion Guard left heading towards the willows. Every animal walked by the willows placing flowers on The Elder, as all the animals stand around in silence The Night Pride, and Lion Guard stand with Rani. "She was very wise," A Lioness said, Rani smiled, "She was" Rani agreed.  Fuli went to Rani, "I'm sorry for your loss Rani" Fuli said. Rani turned to look at Fuli, "Thank you Fuli" Rani replied letting out a smile. Slowly one by one the animals left and it was just the Night Pride and Lion Guard.  Rani and Makini left heading to the tree of life, "Where are they going" Bunga asked, "They are going to prepare because Rani will become Queen now" A Lioness answered.  As the Lion Guard and Night Pride talked Fuli and Kion were at the top of the hill sitting together, "What's wrong Kion" Fuli said looking at Kion in the eyes. "It's..um....nothing" Kion answered, Fuli gave Kion a look. "Are you sure?" Fuli asked again, Kion looked at Fuli and smiled, "I don't know what to do, should we stay or go" Kion admitted. Fuli nuzzled her head with Kion's, "Kion take your time we're in no rush, and whatever you choose I'm with you" Fuli reassured. Kion continued to nuzzle Fuli and smile, "Thank you Fuli" Kion thanked as they both nuzzled on top of the hill.
