Chapter 40 Healing With Buku

Rani and Fuli were opening their eyes slowly and they noticed Buku sitting across crushing Tuliza, "Buku?" Rani called quietly. Buku looked up and smiled seeing Rani and Fuli waking up, "be careful I wrapped you two not long ago" Buku advised. Fuli and Rani looked around their bodies seeing bandages. They both looked at Kion who was seeping with bandages too, "Thank you again Buku" Fuli and Rani thanked thankfully. Buku continued crushing the Tuliza, "Don't thank me yet the healing process has just begun" Buku added. Fuli and Rani looked at each other confused, "But you bandaged us with your remedy don't we just need to rest" Fuli mentioned. "For the physical wounds...yes...spiritual ones...no" Buku explained, "Spiritual!" Fuli and Rani repeated surprised and confused.

Buku pours the liquid into three separate bowls, "You see your physical wounds will heal but your spiritual ones might take longer" Buku explained. Rani and Fuli sigh but lay down to listen more, "Before I explain more I got some good news regarding Kion, his injuries were bad but luckily there was no damage to his head meaning he doesn't have any concussions or damage to his head" Buku explained. "That's great news" Fuli and Rani added happily. They both looked at Kion and smiled, Buku noticed how they both looked and smiled at Kion. "Fuli and Rani" Buku called, Rani and Fuli both turned their heads to look at Buku. "About your healing" Buku suggested. "But Buku shouldn't we worry about Kion's healing first" Rani interrupted. "Rani you and Fuli need to heal first becuase the only way for Kion to get healed properly is if you two are healed properly" Buku explained.

Rani and Fuli took a moment to process what Buku said, "Ok so what's the first step" Fuli asked. Buku smiled, "Not too fast Fuli, healing takes time" Buku insisted bringing the three bowls close to them. "Now you two drink this" Buku explained placing a bowl in front of Rani then Fuli, Fuli and Rani started licking the liquid inside the bowl as Buku slowy poured it into Kion's mouth. Buku collets the bowls and looks at all three of them, "This liquid will help calm your heads, nerves, and help you sleep" Buku explained. Rani and Fuli got loser to Kion before they laid their heads down falling asleep. Buku smiles and sits down cleaning the bowls, "This is interesting indeed" Buku commented to himself thinking about Kion, Fuli, and Rani.

"Father!" A beaver shouted entering the cave, "Shhh their sleeping" Buku whispered. "Sorry dad" A beaver whispered, "We found the Lion Guard and Night Pride they're almost here" A beaver reported. "Good job son, Stay here with Kion, Fuli, and Rani while I speak to Lion Guard and Night Pride If anything happens just call me" Buku explained leaving the cave. As Buku leaves the cave the Lion Guard, Night Pride, and Beavers see him. "Buku! great to see you" Makini added greeting Buku. "Hello young Makini, Ono,  Anga, Beshte, and Beshte" Buku recalled, the Night Pride stand closer. "Hello, Buku, I'm Surak, this is Baliyo, Scout, Ullu, and Nirmala" Surak introduced, "Nice to meet you" Buku replied smiling.

"Where's Fuli and Rani?" Bunga asked curiously, Buku looks at Bunga, "There in that cave sleeping from their injuries with KIon" Buku explained. "YOU FOUND KION!!" Everyone shouted in both surprise and happiness. "Shhhhhh, and It was Fuli and Rani who found him I just help treat him" Buku explained. Nirmala and Makini step forward, "Can we see them?" Nirmala asked. Buku looks at the Night Pride and Lion Guard, "Of course just be quiet" Buku advised showing them inside. Everyone enters the cave and sees Kion sleeping with Fuli and Rani, "How bad are the injuries" Nirmala asked looking closer. "Kion's are the worse, Fuli and Rani were just scratch marks, Kion's were much worse the bleeding has stopped but he hasn't woken up yet" Buku explained. Everyone was saddened hearing Buku news, Nirmala puts her paw on Buku shoulder, "Thank you for your help I wouldn't know what to do that quickly" Nirmala reassured. "Don't fear Nirmala or Makini, I'm old I have experience but I'm willing to share my knowledge to you" Buku explained. "That would be great" Makini replied with excitement. Nirmala nods her head thankful, "Can we just bring them back to the tree of life" Baliyo asked. 

"Not exactly Baliyo, If Kion's injuries are really bad,  if we try moving Kion there is a chance we reopen the wounds" Nirmala explained. "Nirmala is right but don't fear Baliyo we must be patient" Buku reassured. Buku looks at everyone, "But for me to help more I need to know the full story" Buku added. After, Nirmala and the Night Pride, and Lion Guard explain everything about the persuader plant, Fuli and Rani's fight, and their feelings for Kion. "Interesting" Buku thought as he listens to the story, "Thank you I will do my best" Buku added. "We're here to help too" Makini and Nirmala added. Buku smiles and so does everyone else. Surak looks at Ullu, "Ullu head back to the tree of life and make sure everything is fine, let us know if anything happens" Surak ordered. Ullu nodded and flew away and Anga joined Ullu to help watch the tree of life.
