Chapter 36 Struggles and Bonds

Anga and Ullu flew around looking for Kion as Rani and Fuli looked by the water for Kion, "Fuli" Rani called softly. Fuli turned to look at Rani, "Yeah what is it Rani" Fuli replied, "Are you okay" Rani asked concerned. "I'm fine just a few scratches what about you," Fuli asked, "I'm fine too, Just hope we find Kion soon" Rani replied. Rani and Fuli just continued their search.

Rani P.O.V (Thinking)

I don't know what to think anymore I hurt Rani and Kion, now Kion is who knows where and I feel my heart is breaking. I really hope me and Fuli can work together to find Kion.

Fuli P.O.V (Thinking)

What was that about with Rani, I don't know what to say we've been fighting and we can't control it. Now Kion is lost in the river again I can't bear to see Kion hurt again.

"FULI!! RANI!! ANGA!! OVER HERE" Ullu shouted, after hearing Ullu shout Fuli, Rani, and Anga left to go to Ullu. As they reach the edge of the river, there was fur stuck between rocks, Anga flew quickly in and grabbed it and dropped it in front of Fuli and Rani. Rani and Fuli both looked at each other horrified as they both knew this was a piece of Kion's fur. "We have to be close" Rani explained, "Anga, Ullu, go find the others and tell them to come here" Fuli ordered. Anga and Ullu nodded and flew away, Anga went to find the Lion Guard, and Ullu went to find the Night Pride.

Rani grunts and she falls, "Rani!" Fuli called worriedly checking on Rani. Rani was surprised how Fuli was checking on her leg, "I'm okay Fuli" Rani answered grunting again. "You're not ok let me help" Fuli insisted trying to help Rani stand but Rani noticed Fuli leg was shaking. "Fuli you're leg" Rani added, but as Rani said that Fuli fell laying down too. Both Rani and Fuli felt pain in their legs, "Maybe we should wait for the others" Fuli suggested. "Agreed" Rani responded smiling. 

Rani and Fuli waited for a little bit until they heard a sound, "GOODBYE!!" A voice yelled before smashing its way into Fuli and Rani causing them to roll and hang on the ledge. Rani and Fuli were hanging on, "What was that" Rani struggled to look at Fuli. "Don't.....know" Fuli struggled to look back at Rani. "Hello Fuli and Rani" two voices proclaimed together. Fuli and Rani eyes widened seeing Talon and Skip. "Why" Rani scoffed, "No reason, did the flower calm you," Talon asked ignoring Rani question. At that moment Rani and Fuli heads were hurting as they were remembering what happened they saw  Talon and Skip with the persuader plant. "IT WAS YOU TWO" Rani and Fuli snapped starting to lose their grips. Talon and Skip approached Rani and Fuli paws.

Talon and Skip looked at the horrified looks of Fuli and Rani as they heard the river rushing down, "Goodbye tell Kion we said Hi" Talon and Skip exclaimed before jumping on Fuli and Rani paws causing them to let go and fall in the river. Before they fell in they both cried in fear and a big splash followed after. Quickly Talon and Skip left the scene and didn't look back.

In the River 

Rani tried to raise her head up to breathe but as she looks she saw Fuli splashing crazy about to fall into the water, "I'm...coming...Fuli" Rani called coughing. As she called out Fuli sunk into the water Rani's eyes widened as she dived into the water. Rani swam and grabbed Fuli and they both took big breathes panting and coughing, "Thank.. you...Rani" Fuli thanked coughing. "No problem" Rani answered coughing as well. Luckily Fuli grabbed onto a branch and she reached her paw out to Rani, "Grab my paw Rani" Fuli suggested. Rani nodded and reached out until she grabbed Fuli paw and Fuli pulled herself up and then help Rani.

They both laid down and shook off the water and coughed, "I can't believe Talon was evil" Rani blamed herself. Fuli noticed and limped over, "Rani, don't blame yourself we didn't know all that matters now, is what we do now" Fuli reassured reaching her paw out to help Rani up. Rani smiled, "Thanks Fuli" Rani replied grabbing Fuli paw getting back up. "We need to figure out where we are and how we get back" Rani suggested. "What about Kion," Fuli asked a bit upset, "Fuli was too hurt to search" Rani added. "You don't care for Kion" Fuli scoffed turning around to look. Rani's head started to hurt and she felt angry and her eyes started turning red, Rani tackled Fuli from behind and they rolled down the hill into the forest. "RANI!! STOP!!" Fuli yelled but as Fuli yelled her head was hurting, "No can't let it happen again" Fuli told herself trying to fight the control of the plant. 

But Rani was starting to attack Fuli but Fuli was blocking, "Rani your stronger than this fight it" Fuli encouraged. Rani was shaking her head and her red eyes dimmed don, "Fuli" Rani said softly before pain rushed to her head and red eyes returned. Fuli was thinking about what Nirmala said about finding something stronger than the flower and it clicked to Fuli. "RANI LISTEN TO ME DO IT FOR KION HE'S HURT WE NEED TO FIND HIM" Fuli yelled. Rani got off as her head was hurting, "I'M HERE FOR YOU, I SHOULDNT OF BEEN JEALOUS, RANI COME BACK, COME BACK WITH ME AND HELP ME LOOK FOR KION" Fuli shouted. The more Fuli talked the red eyes were dimming down, "RANI I CAN'T DO THIS ALONE, SO RANI WILL YOU HELP ME" Fuli continued to yell. After a few minutes, Rani looked down shaking her head and tears came out she looked up and her eyes were normal but she had tears. Fuli had tears too seeing Rani in pain becuase she felt her pain. Rani ran to Fuli and they hugged reassuring each other, "Thank you Fuli" Rani cried. Fuli smiled as they hugged, "Just returning a favour Rani" Fuli whispered as they hugged.
