Chapter 42 Come Home Kion

Everyone sat around Kion and Anga got up and flew to land beside Kion, "Hey Kion it's me Anga, I know we haven't known each other long but I just need to tell you your the best leader a team could ask for, I'm proud to call you our leader and I'm glad you accepted me onto the Lion Guard and you helped showed me that the Lion Guard isn't just a team but...a....family" Anga explained to Kion, "Lion....Guard..." Kion mumbled. Anga smiled and sat back down, "Who's next" Buku asked. Surak, Nirmala, Baliyo, and Scout step forward, "Hey Kion it's the night pride it's me Surak, again we haven't known each other long but I never got to say a proper thank you, becuase of you Kion you help get the predators away from the tree of life, I owe you Kion so come back so we all can see you again" Surak thanked Kion backing up.

"Hey Kion it's me Nirmala, I helped heal your Scar even though at first it seemed you were giving up, your determination, and adaptability was flawless and amazed me, every day you showed me that you could get better and you really showed how strong you are mentally and physically so Kion please come back to all of us I know you can do it your very strong" Nirmala added. "Hey Kion, It's Baliyo you know the lion you roared at over the mountain pass, even though I was really dizzy from it it was fun, you have a gift Kion and you need to come back so you can continue using that gift to help every animal that needs your help" Baliyo explained. Scout got up, "Hey it's me Scout Kion, We didn't start off the greatest but queen Janna taught me how to be patient and when I was patient....man did you deliver, Your amazing Kion you're unique, one of a kind. We all miss you Kion so please follow our voices and come back" Scout explained sitting back down with the rest of the night pride.

Kion grunted and squinted after the Night Pride finished, "It's working keep going" Makini insisted. Beshte walked forward, "Hey Kion it's me Beshte, I'll never forget the day where  you choose us as the lion guard, you handpicked us and you showed us how to be a team we had our moments protecting the pride lands and making lots of friends on the way, So Kion please come back to us so we can continue the fun adventures and make even more friends along the way, becuase Kion you are the heart of the Lion Guard" Beshte explained walking back smiling. "Pride Lands" Kion whispered, Bunga hopped forward, "Hey Kion, it's your best friend Bunga, we had lots of fun since we were kids, from escaping the crocodiles, hyenas, Jackals, to protecting the pride lands as the lion guard, I want you to always remember something Kion, no matters what happens Kion I'll always be your best friend, Zuka Zama" Bunga explained as Bunga sat down Buku got up.

Buku looked at Kion, "Hey Kion it's me Buku, I'll make mine short and simple from when I first found you I always felt you were a strong Lion not by looks but by personality, after hearing everyone's stories about you, you had a big influence in everyone's lives so you need to know that all of us here together just for you Kion becuase know it or not your family to everyone here and we'll never forget that" Buku explained. Fuli got up and walked over and nuzzled Kion, "It's me Fuli Kion, I miss you, we all do, without you near my side I feel like I'm trapped in darkness, Kion your my light in my darkness and I just....want you to come back..." Fuli explained crying on Kion. Rani got up and reassured Fuli as Fuli sat down, "Kion it's me, Rani, we haven't known each other long but you saved my life and I owed you, I'll admit it again I do have feelings for you and so does Fuli so whoever you choose I respect it maybe we can still see each other" Rani cried nuzzling Kion, "Please Kion.....Please Come home to us" Rani cried. Rani walked to Fuli and they both hugged reassuring one another.

After everyone finished it was quiet for several mintues and Kion stopped moving, "Buku what now," Makini asked, Buku turned to Makini, "I don't know this was supposed to work" Buku replied. As everyone looked the candles Buku lit were extinguish and Kion laid there not moving at all. Makini, Buku, and Nirmala go to Kion and Listen for a heartbeat, everyone watches Buku holding their tears. Buku's eyes widened in shock, and he whispers to Nirmala and Makini. Makini and Nirmala took turns listening for a heartbeat and everyone saw tears drop from Buku, Nirmala, and Makini. "WHAT'S WRONG," Fuli and Rani asked distressed, Buku looked up to everyone, "I'm afraid we're too late" Buku revealed backing away. Everyone froze in complete shock hearing the news from Buku. Everyone tried their best to hold their tears but Fuli and Rani broke in tears as they both ran to Kion nuzzling him.

Makini and Nirmala joined Buku reassuring each other as the Lion Guard and Night pride reassured each other hearing that Kion's journey is over. Fuli and Rani kept nuzzling Kion trying to wake him up, "Please Kion come back we need you" Fuli and Rani cried. Buku, Nirmala, and Makini stood behind Rani and Fuli, "Fuli! Rani! he's...." Makini tried to say. "NO!" They both barked continuing to try and wake Kion. Everyone was saddened by the sight of Rani and Fuli trying to wake up Kion. "I couldn't even say how much I loved you" Rani whispered crying and kissing Kion on the cheek. "I Love You Kion, I'll never forget you" Fuli whispered crying and kissing Kion on the other cheek. In time the Lion Guard and Night pride had tears, "Umm Buku" Makini nudged. "What is it Makini?" Buku asked, Makini pointed and Buku saw Kion twitch. Rani and Fuli back up in shock.

Buku ran over and placed his ear on Kion chest, "OH MY THERE IS  A HEARTBEAT AGAIN!!!" Buku shouted backing up. Kion turned and opened an eye slowly and saw Rani and Fuli, "Rani.....Fuli" Kion called quietly before passing out. Fuli and Rani ran to Kion nuzzling him in relieve seeing and hearing Kion. As the Night Pride and Lion Gard were relived and trying to calm themselves Nirmala walked to Buku, "How is that possible?" Nirmala asked. "It's not" Buku replied in awe and complete shock, Makini joined, "It's like a miracale" Makini commented. Buku looked at Rani and Fuli as they nuzzled Kion, "Your right Makini it was a miracle" Buku added smiling.
