Chapter 62 The Guard's Call

It's been several minutes after Talon fell and the beavers watched the squirrels as the Lion Guard and Night Pride talked about what Talon said. "Is what he said true?" Makini asked, "No it can't be Talon's a liar" Baliyo answered. But Rani placed her paw on her brother's shoulder, "I don't think so Baliyo I know he's done many evil things but he wouldn't make something like that up" Rani suggested. Baliyo looked at Rani, "But what if he wants us to believe that?" Surak added. Kion looked at Surak, "Not entirely, Kion replied, everyone, looked at Kion as he said that. "I didnt want to believe it until he said Zira" Kion explained. Nirmala looked at Kion, "Who is Zira?" Nirmala asked. Kion looked at Nirmala and the Night Pride, "Zira is an evil lion from our home, my dad banished her and her followers" Kion explained. As Kion finished explaining he looked over and saw Skip sitting and he walked over to him.

Kion sat beside him and Skip looked and then sighed, "Listen Kion if you're going to kick us out then fine but at least give us some time" Skip plead. Rani sat on the other side, "We're not kicking you out" Rani added. "You're not" Skip replied surprised, Rani looked at Skip, "Can you agree what Talon said is true," Rani asked. "I can say that we did work with Zira but I didnt know why but now I'm shock.....I thought my sister was dead and I find out she's actually being held by Zira" Skip explained. Rani and Kion felt bad and they tried to reassure Skip, "We're sorry" Rani apologized. Skip looked at Kion and then Rani, "Don't apogize I just hope she's alright" Skip wished, and as he wished he looked up in the sky. Kion and Rani looked up and their eyes widened as they saw Anga and Ullu fly here quickly. "NIGHT PRIDE! LION GUARD!" Ullu yelled landing down in front of them.

Kion, Rani, and Skip stood up quickly hearing them yelling, "Ullu what's wrong?" Rani asked. "There are some animals approaching the mountain pass" Ullu explained, Kion looked at Ullu, "Did you recognize any of them?" Kion asked. Ullu and Anga look at each other and then look at Kion and Rani, "Ono was one" Anga mentioned. Kion eyes widened, Come on let's go" Kion ordered running down the hill, Rani and Fuli watched Kion run and everyone followed after Kion. Everyone left the Plateau and were on the way to the outside of the mountain pass.

Ono looked back and saw Kiara still unconscious while the Hyenas helped carry her, "Come on everyone we are almost there" Ono encouraged.  As Ono flew he saw Anga and Ullu, "Ono!" Anga and Ullu called flying to Ono. Ono smiled seeing and hearing them, "I need your help" Ono explained. Anga and Ullu pointed behind them and Ono saw Kion, the Lion Guard, and Night Pride coming. Ono and the vultures land on the ground and Kion ran with Fuli and Rani to face Ono. "Glad to see you back Ono" Kion insisted but he looked and saw Vultures, crocodiles, and Jackals. "Why are they here?" Bunga asked, Ono, looked at them, "The Pride Lands are in trouble" Ono revealed. The Lion Guard backed up in shock, "What do you mean Ono" Beshte asked. Ono looked at Beshte, "Long story but we don't have time" Ono suggested moving out o the way.

Kion eyes widened as he saw the Hyenas drop Kiara gently in front of him when they put her down Kion ran to her and nuzzled her looking at her. Kion looked at Mzingo with a tear, "What happened in the pride lands" Kion asked. Ono looked at Kion, "Like I said long story" Ono repeated. Nirmala stepped forward, "I can help let's bring her and the others to the tree of life" Nirmala suggested. Kion got up and agreed, "Help get Kiara on Beshte gently" Kion ordered. They helped put Kiara on Beshte as they all walked back to the tree of life and as they walked back Fuli reassured Kion but Rani went to Nirmala. "Nirmala thank you" Rani thanked, Nirmala looked at Rani, "For what?" Nirmala asked. "While I have been gone and distracted you have been doing great being queen" Rani suggested. Nirmala was surprised, "Don't say that I was just helping out, you're a great queen" Nirmala reassured. "You too" Rani added, as they talked Alex watched from behind curious.

A few minutes past and everyone is in the tree of life healing as Ono and Mzingo explained what happened and how it happened. "So Talon was telling the truth it really was Zira" Makini mentioned shivering a little in fear. Fuli looked over and saw Kion sitting with Nirmala watching over Kiara. Nirmala put her paw on Kion shoulder, "Don't fear Kion I have treated her wounds with the help of Alex and Makini she just needs to rest" Nirmala reassured and explained. Kion thanked them and turned to look to the stars and Fuli and Rani walked over and sat down. Kion sighed, "I can't believe this Zira took over the pride lands...Fuli the pride lands needs the guard" Kion suggested. Fuli looked at Kion, "We will but not now we all are still resting from the attack and Kiara needs rest Kion" Fuli reassured. Kion sighed and look up, "I hope we have the time" Kion wished as they watched the stars thinking about what to do next..........
