Chapter 50 We Will Protect

At the tree of life, Nirmala just finished healing an animal injury, "Well done Nirmala" Makini commented. "It's my job Makini but thanks for your help too" Nirmala commented back to Makini. "NIRMALA! MAKINI!" Surak yelled running inside the tree with the Night Pride and Lion Guard. "What's wrong Surak?" Nirmala asked seeing everyone enter in a hurry. "Kion, Fuli, Rani, and Buku are in trouble" Surak explained quickly. "WHAT!" Nirmala and Makini yelled in shock, "There's no time we'll explain on the way" Baliyo added. Everyone alon with Chase left the tree of life to head to the cave as soon as possible.

Buku looked and noticed they were almost there, "Thanks for the talk Talon" Buku thanked about to part ways. "Alright hopefully Kion heals," Talon said before Buku left but when Talon said that Buku stopped in his tracks. Buku made a face of worry, "How do you know about Kion" Buku asked turning around. But as Buku turned Talon slashed at him but Buku jumped back dropping the water. "I said too much...Oh well that won't matter anyway" Talon explained, Buku looked at Talon confused. Talon saw the look Buku gave, "Oh right you don't know, "I'll tell you" Talon added. "Tell me what?" Buku asked backing up slowly, "It was me that made Fuli and Rani fight with the persuader plant, and Kion was supposed to die but apparently Kion is really good at escaping death" Talon revealed and explained. Buku swung his staff but Talon ducked, "That's just rude" Talon commented. Buku looked at Talon disgusted, "You did this, no way One squirrel couldn't do all this" Buku added.

"Who said I'm alone" Talon admitted looking at Buku, suddenly Buku heard and saw lots of movements in the trees and lots of squirrels glided out of the trees landing around Buku. "Finally we can end this" Skip threnated approaching Buku, but Buku swung his staff knocking Skip into the squirrels. "Don't underestimate him" Talon barked at his group, Buku looked around with his staff out. Talon glided towards the cave but Buku sweeped his tail clearing a path for him and he ran to catch up to Talon and smashed his staff down hitting Talon's arm and causing a fracture. "AHHHHHH!" Talon screamed crash landing into the ground. But when Talon screamed the others all charged at Buku slashing and biting and Buku struggled but he fought, "IF YOU WANT THEM YOU MUST KILL ME FIRST!!!" Buku yelled trying to defend himself and the cave. "KILL HIM SOMEBODY KILL HIM" Skip yelled as he glided to his brother. "You okay brother" Skip asked, Talon got up and looked at his arm and it was dislocated. Talon looked up and saw Buku moving his staff around attacking but the squirrels were getting their hits on Buku.

Fuli's head popped up as she heard yelling and she walked over to Rani, "Pssst.....Pssst.....Rani wake up" Fuli whispered tying to wake up Rani. Rani opened her eyes slowy and saw Fuli, "Fuli what's wrong?" Rani asked yawning. I heard screaming and yelling we should see what it was, Rani looked and saw Kion sleeping and looked at Fuli, "Ok let's be quick" Rani insisted. Fuli and Rani got up and peaked out and they both were shocked what they were seeing. They both saw an army of flying squirrels all over Buku, and Skip and Talon in the back. "BUKU!" They called, the squirrels stopped slashing and biting to see Fuli and Rani. Buku spun his body slapping his tail and staff knocking all them away but Buku had slash marks and bite marks on him and some blood. "GO PROTECT KION AT ALL COST DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME!!!" Buku yelled fighting again, "BUT BUKU!" They yelled objecting. "GO!! NOW PROTECT KION!" Buku yelled as another squirrel slashed at him.

Fuli and Rani teared up as they ran in the cave and listen to Buku's orders and they decided  to wake up Kion, Kion opened an eye ashe felt someone shaking him, "Fuli....Rani..." Kion yawned. "Kion get up and stay behind us" Fuli warned, Kion was confused but Fuli and Rani turned their bodies facing the entrance as flying squirrels were inside. "KILL THEM!!!" They yelled, Kion eyes widened but Rani slapped the squirrel down and Fuli did the same thing. Both Fuli and Rani fought stopping the squirrels from getting behind them. Kion watched as both Rani and Fuli fought to defend him and Kion was happy to see them working together. Kion ran forward joining them, and all three of them fought together. As Buku hit the ground and the squirrels jumped on him bitting and slashing Buku opened his eyes seeing the three of them fight together. "I hope that was enough," Buku told himself as things were going black.
