Chapter 49 Talon's Evil Intentions

Buku collected the water and was on his way back and the Squirrels could see Buku, "Get ready" Talon ordered preparing to glide and attack. "Father!" a beaver called running to Buku, as that beaver called Talon raised his hand in the air to signal everyone to hold. "Son what's wrong?" Buku asked, "The others need to know how many layers should we put on the dam," the beaver asked. "Well we usually put at least 3 layers but since more water has been appearing in the river add an extra layer" Buku suggested. "Thanks, Dad" the beavers replied hugging Buku, Buku hugged back, "No problem son be safe" Buku added. "Always" The beaver replied running back to the others to help fix the dam.

"Maybe we should reconsider Talon that beaver has a son" A squirrel suggested, Talon turned his head giving a death stare to the squirrel that suggested that. The squirrel backed up in fear, "I don't give a dam, all I care about is how we kill Kion, Fuli, and Rani.....If we have to kill a beaver to do so.... then so be it" Talon explained evilly. The squirrels noded hearing Talon and all sat awaiting orders. Skip walked over to his brother, "You sure about this?" Skip asked, Talon looked at Talon, "It's our only shot and we will do it no matter what" Talon explained.

Buku smiled as he watched his son leave, "I should bring this water back to the cave" Buku told himself as he continued back to the cave. "Come on boys let's follow the beaver and before he gets there we end the beaver" Talon ordered gliding from tree to tree. Behind Talon, Skip and the others followed quitely and discretely. Buku continued but felt something was off so he turned but it was quiet. Buku turned back and continued but his ears raised when he heard some leaves moving so Buku quickly looked up at the trees. "Who's there," Buku asked with his staff pointing outwards. Nothing happened it was quiet but Buku kept looking around. "You idiot, we're supposed to be quiet" Talon hissed quietly. "Sorry Boss" The squirrel apologized quietly, Talon peaked an eye out and saw the beaver was looking around. Talon rolled his eyes, "I'll deal with this but If things go wrong I'll give you a signal" Talon whispered looking at Skip and the others.

Talon glided in the view of Buku, "Oh it's just you" Buku added putting his staff down. "Hello, What's wrong?" Talon asked. "I thought something else was out there" Buku answered turning to continue but as Buku left Talon followed. As Buku walked he looked at Talon, "What's your name" Buku asked. "I'm Talon, what's yours," Talon asked back, "I'm Buku" Buku answered. "I haven't seen you around here before" Talon added, "Yeah I'm not from around here just helping out a friend" Buku explained. As Buku and Talon spoke Skip and the others followed from above quietly.

As Buku and Talon continued Chase was running trying to find the tree of life, "Where is it again" Chase asked himself. As Chase looked around he saw a honey badger  with some other animals, "Excuse me!" Chase called to them. Bunga turned and Bunga and the lion guard saw Chase, "Hey you're that ferret Rani and the night pride saved" Bunga recalled. "Yup that's me" Chase replied. Everyone looked at the Ferret confused, "Why did you call for us" Anga asked looking at Chase confused. Chase looked at them as his eyes widened, "Oh yeah I overhear some squirrels talking about taking out Rani and two others" Chase explained. Bunga and the Lion Guard looked at each other shocked. 

"Are you sure?" Bunga asked, "I'm positive I was going to tell the night pride more" Chase explained. "We'll take you to the night pride" Bunga reassured, Anga flew up and everyone followed Anga as she lead the way back to the tree of Life. "Let's hope we can find them soon" Beshte added as they all ran to the tree of life.
