Chapter 43 Lion's Of The Past

As everyone gathered around Kion, Rani, and Fuli, in the back was Buku, Nirmala, and Makini. "Buku what happened," Makini asked still confused. "There was no heartbeat it seemed Kion spirit was lost but then it just came back" Buku explained not understanding it himself. "Well. something brought his spirit back" Nirmala added, "Maybe it was all our stories" Makini replied. "If that's the case why did it take so long," Nirmala asked Makini, as Makini and Nirmala talked about how Kion's spirit found its way home Buku was thinking.

Buku was remembering what happened before, "When we all talked to Kion one at a time it worked but not that efficient even when Fuli and Rani went one at a time, but when they both did it together Kion's spirit returned, what does this mean," Buku thought to himself. "Buku! Buku! Buku!" Makini called repeatedly, Buku snapped out of it and looked and saw both Makini and Nirmala looking at him. "I'm sorry, what were you saying?" Buku asked, Nirmala looks at Buku, "We were just saying we should do another check-up on Kion" Nirmala restated. Buku nodded in agreement as the three of them walked over to Kion.

The Night Pride and Lion Guard move out of the way as Buku, Nirmala, and Makini come through, Buku noticed Rani and Fuli both looking at Kion. The three healers turned Kion over a couple of times and felt his chest and check his wounds from before. "How is he?" Rani asked as both Rani and Fuli peaked overlooking over Buku's shoulder. Buku turned around to look at them too, "I'm speechless, Kion was not fine but now there is a strong heartbeat and with some rest, he'll be back to normal" Buku explained. Rani and Fuli looked at each other thankful and then looked at the Lion Guard and Night Pride ho also were happy and relived hearing Buku's news. Buku bent down to Makini and Nirmala, "I need to do something, watch Kion while I'm gone if anything happens, talk to my son I'm been teaching him things too" Buku explained leaving.

Buku left the cave and walked all the way to a high hill and the clouds were clear and Buku breathed in and Out. "I don't understand what happened," Buku told himself, "I knew there was a special connection between those three but not this special, what I saw was extrodianry" Buku kept telling himself. Buku got up and turned around about to head back until he felt a light wind blow his fur, "Buku!" Someone called. Buku looked around and saw no one, "Who said that?" Buku asked looking around. "Buku look up" The Voice called, Buku looked up and fell back surprised, "Queen Janna" Buku identified shocked. "Yes Buku I'm here," Queen Janna said, "And I'm not queen anymore so you can call me Janna" Jannja explained. Buku was still surprised seeing Janna, "I thought only lions with the roar and Royal Mjuzi's can hear the lions of the past"  Buku asked. "That's correct but your an exception, Buku your a wise, and old friend of mine and we need your help" Janna added. "We?" Buku repeated questioning, clouds formed beside Janna in the sky and a bright light shined revealing another lion.

"You must be Buku, Janna has told me lots about you, and how you have helped my grandson" Mufasa mentioned appearing. "Mufasa! the wisest king of the Pride Lands" Buku called surprised seeing two lions of the past. Mufasa smiled, "I wasn't that great but let's not focus on us lets focus on Kion" Mufasa added. "You know what happened," Buku asked them, "Yes and No" They answered, Buku looked confused, "Well you see Buku, we know Kion got hurt from Fuli and Rani but we don't know how" Janna explained. "Wait did you also see how we tried to reconnect his spirit," Buku asked. Janna and Mufasa look at each other than Buku, "Yes we did, and we saw and know what your thinking" Mufasa explained. "But before we go there tell us what happened," Janna asked.

Buku looked at them, "From what I know a plant called the persuader altered the actions of Fuli and Rani and messed with their emotions they ended up fighting and in the end they hit Kion after he tried to separate them and he fell into a river, then Fuli found me and we joined the hunt to find Kion" Buku started to explain. "When I found Rani and Fuli they were both nuzzling Kion and from there I felt a special connection between them, later on, I helped treat their injuries and the three of them slept together" Buku finished explaining. Janna, ad Mufasa looked at each other and smiled hearing Buku's story.

Buku noticed that "Wait, what is it?" Buku asked curiously, Mufasa and Janna looked at Buku. "Looks like Fuli, and Rani's connection is strong" Janna added. "What does that tell you," Mufasa asked Buku, "It tells me that they really care for Kion and want him to heal and get better" Buku answered. "And?" Janna asked, "And....." Buku answered unsurely, "Buku what did you tell Fuli," Mufasa asked. "Follow your hear..." Buku was answering freezing in the end, Janna and Mufasa looked at Buku, "Wait are you telling me what I think you are telling me" Buku asked surprised. "Were not telling you anything but were leading you on the path Buku, now promise us you'll do your best to help them becuase both Mufasa and I have done all we can" Janna instructed. Buku paused and looked up and smiled, "I promise"Buku promised. Janna and Mufasa smiled in happiness and hope before the clouds vanished and the skies were clear once again.
