Tobias pov.

I fell asleep in the hospital room with tris by my side. They let me pull another bed in so I could hold her. She gave birth to two children. One we did not know we were having. Both are an amazing blessing. I sit up in my bed and something feels off. I look to my right and there's a man sitting on the couch. "Who are you and what are you doing here." I say.

The man stands and walks into the light of the lamp and I realize this is a man I know well.

Peter.

"Oh come on four you know I'm not here to hurt anyone. In fact all I can remember of you and this girl is the first day of initiation. Everything else is a blur." He says. The I remember he wiped his memory.

"Oh. Yeah you wiped your memory." I begin "so why are you here?" "I'm. I need help. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Did I make it into dauntless?" he asks. I laugh. "Peter you made it to dauntless. I'll get you set up when we get back. Wait how did you know I was here?" "I saw you run here with her. Are you two a thing now?" he says confused. "Yeah we got married and she just had two children. We have a daughter but she just had two more." Peters jaw drops

He obviously doesn't remember trying to kill tris. Or the war. We should keep it that way. Tris starts to move around and her eyes flutter open.

"Hey. Where's my babies?" she asks and I lean down to kiss her I then whisper peters here. And that he doesn't remember. her eyes go wide. ""Um h-hi p-peter. n-nice to s-s-see you again." he smiles and walks over to hug her and whispers something. She smiles and nods. I smile. It's weird to see him nice. But it's strange what the initiation will do to you. dr Anne walks back in with with our children. "Tobias where's natalie?" tris asks worriedly. She's become much more worried since after her encounter with David. She worries he will come after our kids.

"Here is Connor and here is tristian. We want to keep you one more night though since there are two of them okay. Is that alright tris?" she nods and smiles. "Peter would you like to hold one of them?" she says and looks at him. He looks amazed that she would say such a thing. I'm amazed she trusts him this much. But he nods and picks up tristian. He looks at her and she giggles and grabs his finger. "She likes you Peter." I say. "Yeah. That's a first a girl that actually likes me." We all laugh.

Peters really changed. Then the door busts open and christina Taylor and Austin come in. "Tris why are there two of them?" chris asks us. Tris laughs "well tristian was hiding in there so she surprised us. Do you want to hold them guys?" Taylor and christina nod and when she notices that its Peter and she backs up. "It's christina right? hi I'm Peter." and he extends a hand toward her and Chris shoots me a what the hell look and I laugh. "Chris he doesn't remember anything." She breathes heavily and shakily extends her and and peters shakes it. "C-can I hold tristian?" she asks Peter and he hands her over. Chris looks like she's having the best time of her life now. Taylor takes Connor and he laughs and takes her finger.

My children are making friends and protectors already. That's when someone I never thought I would ever see again comes in.

I smell lemongrass

I look to the door and I see him.
