"Tris your daughter is contritent." I hear natalie say to tris. My heart drops. I know what this means.
"Mom what do you mean." she asks confused. "I mean I know what contritent is but how? what does this mean?" "it means your daughter is very important. It's important no one knows about this until she turns sixteen. Okay. Then only you and Michelle need to know." She says. I still stand there. My daughter is now a target like taylor.
Michelle's in charge of our system. She's contritent. And not many people agree with that. Like Jeanine and the bureau and. David.
"Look I'm going to go home. Take care of your kids." She says and walks to hug me. "Take care of my daughter tobias. Your lives are about to change forever." she whispers and kisses my cheek.
Why does she mean change forever.
Just when I thought life would get settled down. Another thing makes us run again. It's like life doesn't want us to settle. Life will never allow us to settle.
I must protect my family. I will survive.
