What just happened??

A few days have past and not much has changed. Kacchan gives me attitude for even looking in his direction, Deku has been overly nice to me and Shoto.. He keeps trying to make conversation with me. Not even about important stuff either. Two days ago he sat next to me at lunch and talked to me about mashed potatoes. I had to make an excuse to go to the bathroom and as soon as I left the cafeteria Kacchan was waiting for me. The argument could've gone better I can tell you that.

~~~Two days ago~~~

"So what? You just fucked me and now you're done?" Kacchan says and stands straight up off of the wall he was once leaning on. "What are you talking about?! You're the one giving me the cold shoulder!!" I say and try walking around him. He grabs my arm and turns me toward him. "You're that stupid? Icy hot likes you yet you just sit with him at lunch?" "That's why I got up. You're too jealous and thick headed to see I'm trying to stay away from him because of you." I say and he rolls his eyes and looks away from me. "What? Have nothing to say?" I say and he looks back to me. "You're a pain in my ass." "Like you aren't a pain in mine." "Shut up. I'm trying to hold back for you but at this point you're making it hard." He says and I roll my eyes. "I'm making it hard? You're the one upset because I have friends and my life doesn't revolve around-" "I have friends too. If I wanted to cut you off I would've by now. You're playing a dangerous game." I can see he's getting upset but he doesn't listen to me. "Dangerous game? A "dangerous game" was talking to you in the first place." He lets go of my arm and turns around to leave. "Then go. Like I would care." And he storms off. What have I done.

~~~Present Day~~~

As I'm sitting eating my lunch it all comes back to me. It's not like I wanted to end things with him.. It came out wrong. I just want him to see my side and he doesn't give any effort to see where I'm coming from. He's hard to talk to but that's what makes it more fun. Trying to figure out what he's feeling and what he's saying. He's interesting.  

"Y/N!!! I wanted to talk to you about some stuff!!!" Deku comes running over and sits across from me. "So I started thinking about some of the quirks from other classes-" I feel bad for zoning out but with how much he talks sometimes you have to. "-Kacchan?" I look up at the sudden mention of my ex or whatever he is. "What?" I ask and look up from my food. "What's going on between you and Kacchan?" "Why do you ask?" He looks past me and looks terrified. "B-be-because he's giving us the death stare right now." I turn around and he's staring at us, the plastic spoon that was in his hand turning into a liquid. I turn back to face Deku. "I'm not sure.." I look back down at my food and roll some strawberries around. "It's.. complicated I guess" "Deku!!" I look up and Ururaka is waving to him. "We're going to be late!!" "I'm so sorry, I have to go!! I'll talk to you later, ok?" "Alright, Izuku.."

With that he's gone and I'm back to sitting alone. Finally some peace and quie- "Y/N!!" A tray is slammed next to me and I jump. So much for peace and quiet. Why does everyone want to be my friend all of a sudden. I look over and see a spiky red headed Kirishima sitting next to me. "Sorry to scare you!!" "It's fine. What do you want?" I say and he smiles. "Friendship!!" I huff and look at him. "What's the real reason you're over here." "Look alright. Bakugo totally doesn't want me telling you but he's super jealous. He doesn't say it out loud or anything but I know, I can definitely see it." "I know, what's your point?" "Well.. it's a long shot but if we pretend to date maybe he'll fall in love and you guys will live happily ever after!!" I just stare for a second while he grins at me. "WHAT?!" I say maybe a little too loud. He covers my mouth and giggles. "Y/N it'll be ok!!" 

"Who said I want to start talking to him again." I pout, look away and cross my arms. I look back at Kirishima because he's being awfully quiet and he's blushing. "Oh, well.. No, like.. You do right? Like if you don't.. I don't know, like.. You can find someone else but like.. Oh never mind.. I don't know" he stammers and I have no clue what he just said. "Look. You pretending to date me will only make it worse." "I'm willing to make that sacrifice." I give him a questioning look and he blushes again. "No!! Not like that!! For my good friend Bakugo!! And you!! Not for me!!"

He exhales and looks down at his food. "Bakugo isn't the same since you're fight. I want him to be the same mean jerk hole that he was before but now.. I'm not sure how he's acting. He will barely let me and Kaminari anywhere close to him anymore and he's shutting us out. We are trying our best to help but he pushes us away." I look over and he's playing with his food. "At least talk to him.. please?" He looks up and we make eye contact. "Yeah.. I will.. when should I?" He looks up and smiles at me. "Tonight after class. I'll tell you exactly when later. Thank you, Y/N. No wonder why Bakugo has the hots for you." He smiles and stands up walking over to Kacchan's table. I get up and walk to the trash cans, throwing my food away and walking out of the cafeteria.
