♡ Chapter 39

"Jungkook." You breathe out. It looks like Jungkook is in shock. He's stiff where he stands and his mind can't really process the fact that you're standing in his driveway.

You realize that you had calmed fully down because of the distraction of seeing Jungkook.

You run up to him and hug him tight. Jungkook is still standing still while you hug him. He doesn't budge.

You pull away and you see that Jungkook has tears in his eyes. You furrow your eyebrows and he takes a step back from you. "Don't cry, Jungkook, I'll explain everything." You say and Jungkook looks down, not answering. "You....I-" he finds it hard to form any sentences as his mind is kind of blank.

Was he dreaming? Is this some kind of sick joke his mind is playing? He can't tell what's real from what he has dreamt anymore. He had dreamt that you would show up at his door one day and that you'd make the hurt go away, but...

Why does it hurt more when actually seeing you?

"Jungkook.." You trail off, your eyes filling again.

"Y/N, I think you should leave now if you feel better?" Taehyung walks up to you and he tries to push you away, but you stand your ground. "No." You say. "Jungkook." You say and Jungkook still looks down at his feet. Taehyung tries to push you away once more. He is ready to almost lift you up and carry you away, but then:

"Wait." Jungkook quietly says. Taehyung looks at the younger in anticipation. You both wait for what he is going to say next.

"I-I'll let you explain." Jungkook stutters. He's had hope that you never really left, but he needed convincing to really make him believe it.

He doesn't think you would leave him or that you never really loved him, because what you two had felt real.

It felt beyond real and if it was one sided, then he'll definitively not trust anything anymore.

Jungkook steps aside and you enter the house with gentle steps as if you're afraid he'll break if you you're even a little harsh.

Taehyung follows you inside and goes to Jungkook's room, telling him he'll be available if Jungkook needs him. Jungkook nods. You purse your lips and give him a small smile. He just looks to the side, trying to hold back emotions the best he can.

You go and sit on the couch. Jungkook fumbles with his fingers, looking down at them as you stare intensely at him.

"Why haven't you taken care of yourself, Jungkook? You look sick, are you feeling alright? You should eat, it's not healthy to-" Jungkook cuts you off. "Don't," he sighs, "don't worry, just.." he looks up at you and you lock eyes. "Tell me? Tell me why you left." His eyes glisten with both hope and hurt. Your heart breaks at the sight.

"I was sent to an institution. For mental health." You say looking down. "It wasn't any institution though, it was hell. They did inhumane things.."

You look up at a shocked Jungkook who can't believe what you're saying.

"W-what do you mean? Was it your parents?? Were you harmed?" He asks, his eyebrows furrowed. "Yes, it was my parents and no I wasn't badly hurt." You lie. You don't want him to worry, seeing as he should worry about himself first and foremost.

Jungkook knows you're lying though, he knows you. He can also see that you were affected by being there from the way you react when you mention it.

You both sit there, sobbing messes, while you explain everything that happened from the day you came home and the crazy nurses took you to the institution, to how you broke out of it and ended up here.

"Wow... I.. " Jungkook said, not knowing how to respond. He's happy of course, but obviously not because you were taken to a place by force and hurt there. He's happy because you didn't leave him on purpose. You didn't just abandon him.

You look at Jungkook. His eyes are puffy, his nose is bright red crimson along with his cheeks, and his long hair is messy.

Cute.

You missed the feeling you got whenever you looked at him. You missed having all those feelings rushing though you each time you simply locked eyes with this boy.

Not just any boy, though, the boy that is the love of your life.

Jungkook takes your hands in his, and you're surprised by his gesture. He looks down at your small hands in his big ones and he smiles.

He genuinely smiles.

He smiles for the first time in over a month and he really likes the feeling of that.

"Hey," You say gently, and he looks at you. "I would never leave you. Never, you hear me?" You say, making sure he really understands the meaning of your words. He stares at your unintentional beauty and he immediately feels butterflies in his stomach.

He missed this feeling.

He missed looking at the girl he loves and feeling like nothing else matters in the whole wide universe..

"I love you." Jungkook says, his voice cracking at the end.

You feel this overwhelming feeling of pure love and affection. Your heart melts as you once again have teardrops steaming down your cheeks.

"I-I love you, Jungkook," you start crying, you're breath hitching, "so much."

Jungkook moves closer and takes you in his arms. You bury your face in the crook of his neck as he holds you tighter than ever before.

You soon hear his quiet sobs and you pull away. You take a hold of his jaw on both sides while you two stare at each other like you haven't seen each other in ages, which is true.

You lean in and you kiss him. You both feel like lightning just struck through your bodies. You feel electric.

Just one kiss has this effect on you and it's crazy how this feels like the first time you kissed. It's like you're excitement and eagerness never fades even though you've been together for a little while now.

You pull away from the kiss just to have Jungkook pull you on his lap and kiss you harder and more passionate.

Both of your hands roam each other's bodies like crazy, like you've never laid hands on each other before.

Jungkook deepens the kiss by tilting his head and his tongue is making the kiss wetter and sloppier.

You're moving fast and so is he.

You need him and he needs you.

Nothing is stopping you.
