JUGHEAD POV

"Jughead! Jughead!" Mom yelled. My eyes sprung open and I saw Mom in my face.

"Nope. It's Saturday which means no school." I said and shut my eyes. Mom groaned and shook me again.

"You have Saturday morning tutoring, remember? I'll drop you off at school and you will get on the bus to Southside Middle School. Hurry up!" Mom said and walked out of my room. I got up and went to my closest. I got dressed and then went to brush my teeth. I sprayed some cologne on myself and put my hat on. I walked into the kitchen and Mom made a cup of coffee for me. I drank it all quickly and then I left the house. I got in my car and drove to Riverdale High School. I was in rush there because I couldn't risk getting expelled. But luckily I made it on time and I got on the bus. I sat by myself and waited for the bus to take off.

I then saw Betty Cooper get on the bus and she sat down in a seat by herself. We exchanged looks and then I put my earbuds in. When the bus took off, I felt myself get nervous. We get paired up with a kid and I have to teach them stuff. I've gotten average grades in all of my classes in all of my high school experience. When we got to the school, I got paired up with with this boy named James.

"Alright James, can you tell me what this shape is?" I asked him. He glared at me and nodded.

"It's a triangle, obviously. I'm 13-years old, not 4."

"Ok...what kind of triangle is this? What do you think?"

"I think this is bull crap!" James yelled and got up. He left the room and everyone was staring at me. They went back to their work and I exhaled.

"That makes two of us." I said to myself. James didn't come back for the rest of the time so I just played on my phone. I didn't have anything else to do so there was no way I could get in trouble. Luckily, it was soon time to get back on the bus. I sat in the back row and just looked out of the window. The bus began to move and I was just staring out the window for awhile. That was until Betty sat next to me.

"Hey, Jughead! Would you like to donate some money? We're trying to save up money to buy Ben Button a new Xbox." Betty exclaimed. I rolled my eyes and then looked at her.

"No." I said and went back to looking out of the window.

"I know this whole situation may seem bad but try looking at it from a different perspective. Are you gonna go visit Dilton Doiley? They moved him out of the Intensive Care Unit-"

"Is this your idea of small talk or something? Because this isn't and your social skills suck. Also, nobody forced him to jump." I sassed.

"It's called peer pressure."

"Let me guess, you read that in the Bible?" I glared. I looked down at the book she was holding and in bold letters, it said "Holy Bible". I didn't expect anything more from her. Betty sighed and we were still looking at each other.

"Don't pretend like you know me, Jughead. Ok?" Betty asked. I chuckled and shook my head.

"But I do know you. We've had all the same classes and school in preschool. You're Betty Cooper. You sit at lunch table 8 and you sit at that table by yourself everyday. You have exactly one sweater. You love science and reading. Oh yeah! For fun, you tutor on the weekends and hangout with the kids from Astronomy club. How's that, Betty Cooper?" I asked. Betty smirked and nodded.

"That's so predictable. It's nothing I haven't heard before. Especially from Archie."

"You don't care what people think of you?" I asked. How could someone not care about their reputation? That's the most important thing ever, especially in high school.

"I don't." Betty shook her head. She stood up and moved to the front of the bus and sat by herself. She was so peculiar and that's why nobody has ever truly figured out why she was so strange. Perhaps, I'll never know.
