BETTY POV

It was just a normal day. I hadn't spoken to Jughead all day so I think he's done trying to be with me. My life has finally gone back to normal.

"Betty!" I heard. I looked next to me and saw Toni Topaz. She was smiling at me and was not being mean to me. Maybe Jughead said something to them.

"Hi." I weakly said.

"I wanna let you know that you and Jughead being together is totally cool."

"I don't know what you're talking about." I shook my head. There was a moment of silence and she was still following me. She gasped and shook her head.

"Betty...you'd be so much prettier with makeup. Come sit with me at lunch!" Toni exclaimed.

"Ok!" I exclaimed. This was honestly really nice. Toni changed her ways and now we can be friends. But something was off when we walked into the Cafeteria. People were staring at me and laughing. Toni laughed too and showed me a piece of paper. She'd photoshopped my face to a picture of a naked woman.

"Nice body." Toni smirked. I felt myself begin to tear up and I looked around. Everyone was laughing at me and showing me the paper. I turned around and was going to walk out of the cafeteria, but I bumped into Jughead. I don't know why, but I hugged him. He hugged me back and this went on for a few seconds. He stopped hugging me and pulled apart. He put his hands on my face and he sighed.

"This isn't about you, Betty. They're trying to get at me. I'm going to take care of this." Jughead said. I nodded and he let go of my face. He walked up to Archie who was laughing about it.

"Hey Jones, turns out the Virgin Mary isn't a Virgin after all." Archie laughed. Jughead punched Archie in the face giving him a broken nose. Archie was in shock by this.

"Don't talk to me or Betty ever again or I will make sure it's not just a broken nose." Jughead said. Archie shoved Jughead and scoffed.

"We're through with you, Jug. We are through forever! You made the biggest mistake of your life! You're a prick!" Archie yelled. Jughead just walked up to me and wrapped his arm around me. He guided me and we walked out of the school and on the curb to the parking lot. I was just trying to hold back my tears and he was comforting me.

"Baby, I'm so sorry. They're all animals. Let me take you home." Jughead said. I nodded and we went to his car. It looked like he had fixed his car. I got in the passenger seat and he was in the driver's seat. He drove me all the way to my house. We sat in the driveway of my house for just a few minutes.

"Thank you for driving me home." I said.

"It's no problem. I wanted to."

"I guess I'll see you at school on Monday." I nodded. I was getting ready to get out of the car but he lightly tugged on my sweater. I relaxed in the seat and I was just staring at him.

"Can I ask you something, Betts?" Jughead asked.

"Sure." I whispered. Jughead weakly smiled and shrugged.

"Will you go out with me on Saturday night?" He weakly smiled. My heart raced and I was so nervous. I had never been asked out before and my father would be upset if I dated as a teenager. I sighed and shook my head.

"I'm sorry, Juggie. I can't." I sighed.

"Do you have something else going on?"

"No...I'm not allowed to date."

"Oh."
