JUGHEAD POV
Betty left the house and I had a great idea. I went inside the house and looked for Mom. She was laying on the couch just reading a book. Mom is the dancing queen. She's the best person to ask.
"Hey, Mom. I need to ask you something." I said. Mom put her book down and looked up at me. "Can you teach me to dance?" I asked. Mom smiled and jumped up from the couch. We went into the empty area in the kitchen.
"It's all about the beat of the music. As the boy, you're gonna be the one to lead. But I'll lead you." Mom said. We got in a slow-dance position and we started to move around the room. Within the first few steps, I stepped on her feet.
"Sorry, Mom."
"It's ok. It's a start. This time, watch your feet. You're basically gonna do the opposite of that." Mom nodded. We went again and it went well for about a minute until I got confused and accidentally tripped over my own feet and I almost knocked over Mom. Mom shook her head and got her phone. She turned on a song and then we got in the same position. We started to dance and I was doing pretty well. I got confused on where we were moving but besides that, I was good.
"How am I doing?" I asked.
"You're doing great. Watch your feet for the next round. Then we'll do another round where you don't look at your feet. Then, you're gonna lead me." Mom nodded. We went on and I learned to dance. It took about an hour but I finally was able to do it. I lead Mom really well and she was so happy. She always wanted to me to learn how to dance. Once I learned, I practiced a little bit on my own with my feet.
It was night time and I decided that it was time for me to leave. I made a quick bowl of soup for myself and scarfed that down. I got in my car and drove all the way to Betty's house. I got out of the car and went to the front door. I knocked and Betty answered it.
"I learned something, Betty. I wanna show you." I smiled. Betty let me into the house and we went upstairs to her room. Betty opened the window in her room and we went on to the balcony. I pulled out my phone and turned on the same song my mom and I used. I got in slow-dance position with Betty and started to move.
"You learned to dance!" Betty exclaimed.
"Yup, I did it for us." I smiled. I spun Betty around and she laughed. We kept dancing around for what seemed like an eternity.
