BETTY POV

The next week on Thursday night, Jughead took me out again. He took me to Pops to get dinner and then we walked around for a little bit. When the night was over, he drove me home and he walked me into my front yard.

"I had a good time." He smiled.

"Me too." I nodded. We kissed and then I heard the front door slam. My father walked down the stairs and went up to us.

"The night is over! Jughead, go home." Dad said. Jughead sighed and then left he front yard. Dad was very unhappy with me. I could tell by the look on his face. "Elizabeth, your behavior is very sinful. You're acting with that boy as if you were-"

"I'm not." I said.

"Betty, you're a child."

"Look at me, I'm not a child."

"Then stop acting like one!" Dad shouted. I was going to say what I've felt the entire time. Dad would never understand.

"I love him." I said. Dad looked like he was in shock and he shook his head.

"Be fair to him before it gets worse." Dad said and walked away. Why would he bring that up? I'm happy for the first time in so long. Dad wouldn't understand.
