JUGHEAD POV
I was in the driveway finishing up my car. It was nearly finished and I was excited for that. I don't have to drive my Mom's car anymore. Sweetpea was just dancing to a rap song by Lil Pump.
"Gucci Gang!" Sweetpea sang.
"Turn that down! I'm actually trying to work!" I shouted. Sweetpea laughed and then took the CD out of the stereo. He put in a random tape and then Country music started playing. He gave a disgusted look and sighed.
"Look man, I know you don't exactly like Hip Hop like me...but what on Earth is this?"
"Betty lent it to me."
"So now she has you listening to her people's music. This is pathetic of you." Sweetpea groaned. I glared at him and I crossed my arms.
"What do you mean by, 'her people'?" I asked. Sweetpea stood up.
"I mean her Bible hugging, Crucifix wearing, 'give me love Jesus' people."
"She's not like that." I shook my head.
"You have Toni thinking that the kiss between you and Betty was real." Sweetpea shrugged. I looked at him and he sighed. I went back to working and he stepped closer to me. "What happened to you? You don't have time for your friends anymore. For me or for Archie."
"I don't know, Buddy. I'm just tired of it. I'm sick and tired of doing the same crap all the time!" I shouted.
"This girl has changed you."
"Let me guess, Toni said that too?" I scoffed.
"No...I did." Sweetpea whispered. I looked over at him and he had a sad look on his face. He grabbed his backpack and walked to his car and drove away. I was slowly but surely, losing my friends.
