JUGHEAD POV

After I dropped Betty off, I drove to the church. I parked my car and went up to the double doors. I opened one of the doors and I saw Pastor Cooper rehearsing his speech.

"What can I do for, Mr. Jones?" Pastor Cooper said looking up at me and took a sip from his water bottle.

"I'd like to ask your daughter to dinner on Saturday night." I said. Pastor Cooper was in shock and groaned.

"No. Absolutely not."

"I respect in you every way, sir...but I wanna ask you to reconsider." I said.

"I respect you as well, Mr. Jones but I don't think you're worth of taking Betty out. My answer is still no. You can show yourself out." Pastor Cooper nodded. I got closer to the stand and got his attention again. He looked at me and put his hands on his hips.

"I know I've been an awful person to Betty her entire life. I'm very sorry for that. But I've changed, and I'm just asking for the same thing you teach us every Sunday in church. It's forgiveness and faith." I said.

"If I let you take her out, you better bring her home on time."
