JUGHEAD POV

Betty and I held hands as we walked on the docks. We were being silent for the most part.  She smiled at me and then let go of my hand.

"How can we have beautiful nights like this, and you still don't have faith?" Betty asked and walked to the edge of the docks and stood at the railing just staring out at the lake.

"How can you be sure?" I asked.

"It's like the wind. I can't see it but I can feel it. I feel love, hope, faith, and beauty. I mean, it's crazy. Don't you think?" She asked turning around to look at me. She was so gorgeous.

"I wanna kiss you." I said.

"I'll probably be bad at it." Betty said with her eyes widening.

"There's no way." I scoffed. I put my hand on her face. I leaned in and kissed her. I pulled away and she seemed nervous. I put both hands on her face.

"I told you I was bad at it." She sighed.

"Betty...I love you." I whispered. She looked at me and was breathing heavily. She didn't say anything back. What if I was rushing things? Did I just screw this entire thing up? This was really bad. "Betty, say something."

"I told you not to fall in love with me." Betty whispered. I leaned in and kissed her again. I pulled away and kissed her forehead. It's ok that she didn't say it back, she didn't have to.
