JUGHEAD POV
I stood outside at edge of the lake in my backyard. I hadn't gotten any sleep. All I could think about was Betty. I heard footsteps behind me and I saw Sweetpea walk up next to me.
"Hey Jughead, your Mom called me. I just found out about Betty. Tell me." Sweetpea said.
"Tell you, what?" I shrugged.
"How are you? We haven't talked in a week and how are you dealing with Betty."
"I'm upset...she's the best person I've ever known." I sighed. Sweetpea shook his head and exhaled.
"I'm sorry, man. I didn't understand." Sweetpea nodded. I looked at him and weakly smiled. Life is too short to hold grudges. Betty taught me that.
"It's ok, Sweets." I said. Sweetpea and I did our secret handshake and then hugged. I'm very happy. I have my best friend back at a time when I need him the most.
