JUGHEAD POV

I got in the house early that morning. I saw Mom sitting on the deck of the house just writing. I ran up to her and scared her. She jumped and gasped and I just sat in the chair next to her.

"Did you just get in?" Mom asked still a little scared.

"Yeah."

"Good thing I didn't know, I would've called the police. Jughead...were you with Betty?" Mom asked. I sighed and nodded. "Jughead! Be careful! She's the Pastor's daughter."

"I know. I'm being very careful. She's different from all the people I've been surrounded by my entire life. She's amazing." I smiled. Mom rolled her eyes and then pulled out a piece of paper and uncrumbled it.

"I was doing laundry the other day and found this in the pocket of one of your pants. You made a bucket list. 'Go to medical school. Become a doctor. Go to Yale University.' Jughead, these are all nice ambitions. But you'll have to work really hard-"

"I can do it, Mom." I nodded. I had full faith in myself. I won't give up on myself and Betty believes in me.

"I know you can." Mom said.

"Mom...Betty inspires me. She makes me wanna be different...better."
