JUGHEAD POV
On Friday night, Betty and I met up at the graveyard. We were planning on staying out in there and watching the stars with her telescope. I got out of my car and Betty got out of her car.
"Hey." I smiled. We went up to each other and kissed. She pulled away and went to the trunk of her car as I slung my backpack on my shoulders.
"Will you help me?" Betty asked. I nodded and grabbed the telescope out of the trunk. We walked all the way to her mother's gravestone and Betty set up her telescope.
"This is gonna be fun." I smiled.
"What would you like to see?"
"Hm...Pluto."
"Pluto only rises a few minutes before the sun!" Betty laughed. I set my backpack on the ground and grabbed a blanket out of it and laid it on the ground.
"That's why I packed a blanket for us to lay on, a thermos of hot coffee, and another blanket for us to use if we get cold." I said. I pulled the scroll out of my backpack as well and I laid down on the the blanket.
"Are you trying to seduce me?" Betty asked.
"Why are you seducable?" I chuckled. Betty shook her head and I sighed. "That's what I thought." I nodded. I got up and walked over to her and showed her the map on the scroll.
"What's this?" Betty asked.
"Just find this star for me, ok?" I asked. Betty nodded and got to work. She was looking for it for about a minute and then claimed she found it. She pulled her face away from the telescope and looked at me confused.
"Why do you want to find this specific star?" She asked. I smiled and showed her the signed marks on the back.
"Because I got it named after you. It's signed by NASA and everything." I nodded. Betty had a wide smile and she exhaled. She looked at me and just smiled.
"I love you, Jug."
"I love you too." I said. I pulled her in and kissed her. I kept kissing her and I went to put my hand on her hip but she pulled away from me. "Ok, I'm sorry. I'll stop, I promise." I said. I sat down in the blanket and Betty sat in between my legs just leaving against my body. I wrapped my arms around her and we were just sitting there.
"This is amazing. I could stay here forever." Betty said.
"What's your number one?" I asked her. She weakly smiled and looked over at me.
"To get married in the church where my mother grew up. Where my parents were married. Where she had her funeral." Betty nodded. I kissed her cheek and we just sat there. Things seemed to be perfect.
