Pure relief runs through my veins when we finally arrive at Amity headquarters. The people are dressed in their faction colors- red and yellow. Everyone looks happy and cheerful, like they always do, even though there is a war raging on just past the boarders of their faction.

As we push through the doors of Amity headquarters, I feel eyes glued to us, our clothes stand out like a sore thumb here, everyone is likely to be watching us. It doesn't take long for me to see someone in the building, her eyes are emerald, her clothes cling to her body, and her hair is blonde- a very bright blonde- it hangs around her elbows and bounces with each step she takes towards us.

"Hi!" She says, her voice is high-pitched, it hurts my ears. "Welcome to Amity headquarters! Do you need some place to stay while you patrol the gates?"

"We're not patrolling the gates." I say after a few moments. "But we do need a place to stay, if that isn't any of your inconvenience."

"No, not at all!" She says. "I'll get you each a place to sleep, there are a few cafeterias around here for you to eat, breakfast starts at 8:30 every morning, lunch is at 12:00, dinner at 6:00." She turns around and grabs three keys and turns back to us. She hands one to my father, "you're room 358." one, to Lamar, "room 373." and one to me. "And room 374."

I take my key. "Thank you." I say.

"You're welcome!" She says."I'll take you to your rooms!"

I sit down on the edge of the bed in my room, everything is either red, white, or yellow in here. I look at the red closet across the room from me, full of red and yellow clothes. Then, the yellow night-stand next to the bed, empty. There is a small white clock on the stand, it shows that the time is 6:57 in the evening.

Someone brought a plate of food to my room, he left it on my yellow pillow. The blankets on the bed are a mixture of red, white, and yellow, somehow, matching together well.

My father's room is far away from mine, much farther than I would prefer, but it will have to do for now.

Lamar's room is across from mine, my father likely hates this, hates every second of it. But he'll have to deal with it just as much as I have to deal with him being so far away.

Just before we had left to our rooms, we were informed that we had to go to bed at 8:00 or earlier. My eyelids feel heavy at the thought of sleep. I stand up and grab a shirt out of the closet and disappear into the bathroom. I come out a few minutes later, the shirt is a little big on me. I return to the bed and turn of the lights and lie down under the blankets. Soon, sleep comes and takes me with it.

The sun reflects off the water of the pond that lies before me. My reflection shows on the water. I see someone else in the water, someone behind me. He wears blue Erudite clothes all over, even the knife in his hand shines blue in the water.

I realize he is walking towards me- fast. But I don't move, I can't. I stand over the river, motionless, as the boy walks towards me, carrying a knife.

He is right behind me now, I see who he is now- my own brother, threatening to kill me with the knife in his hand. I feel a sharp poke at my spine, the cold of the knife pressing to my back spreads over me, enveloping me in freezing air.

"Tell me who you are," he says, his voice pierces my soul. "Who you're allied with. You're family or him?"

I see another body walking towards me, with another walking behind him. As they walk towards me, the cold air begins to turn my fingers to ice, frosting them slowly, letting the pain course through me. I scream.

"Tell me now, sister," my brother says to me. "Tell me, or I'll allow the freezing to go on, icing your veins until it reaches your heart. I'll let you die if I must." His words make me feel colder.

I now recognize the two bodies in the back-round now- Lamar and Christine. Lamar wears Dauntless colors- black- while Christine wears her own faction's colors- blue- just as Mathew does. My sister has a knife pressed to Lamar's spine just as Mathew does mine.

"We'll be killing him, soon," Mathew says. "Answer and we won't kill him now."

I open my mouth again, trying to speak, but when I do, I can only gasp. I gasp again and again until the ice has frozen my limbs, from my toes to my shoulders, a gap around my heart.

        "Answer me!" My brother yells.

The ice inches up my neck, freezing my throat. My eyes are still locked on the pond that lies before me. I hear Lamar make a sound, a dying one, I see the end of the knife sticking out his chest, my sister has a wide smile on her face, not of happiness, just victory over a strong enemy to her.

I feel the ice freeze my jaw, frosting my skull until it is in my eyes, and finally, all the warmth has left my body.
