Awkward Silence pt. 5

Jeongin stood patiently at the side with a bouquet of sunflowers in his hands.

Waiting.
He remained silent as he glanced at the crowd, some were crying, others smiling, laughing their hearts out.

After a quick look around his eyes searched for you once again.
He watched as you took hearty pictures with your classmates.

He simply stared as Hwang Hyunjin grabbed you waist and pulled you close for a selfie. How he wished he could have that flamboyant, straightforward attitude.

His eyes were fixated on you as you received a bouquet of flowers from Han Jisung, a small blush painted across your cheeks.

Jeongin wasn't usually this patient.
But for some reason, he didn't want this day to end.

Too zoned out, he hadn't realized that you were approaching him, a small smile painted across your lips.

He loved your smile.

"You came! Look! I finally made it!" You said, happily waving your diploma in front of the boy.

"I-I got you flowers"

"Thank you Jeongin" you muttered, accepting the bouquet despite the other two in your hands, the other coming from your parents.

"Um... I- noona-"

Jeongin stopped midway, a frown suddenly painted across his features.

"Jeongin what's wrong?"

"Will I still see you?"

Silence filled the air after that and Jeongin closed his eyes, cursing at himself for bothering you with his silly thoughts.

But when he suddenly felt a hand gently pat his head, his eyes slowly opened to see your warm smile.

"I might be busy with college soon but if you need me just call or send me a message and you can rest assured I'll be there Jeongin"

And he released a breath that he didn't know he was holding.

"Noona- When I- when it's my turn to graduate can you come see me?"

Jeongin's brows furrowed when you suddenly raised your pinky finger up.

"We're supposed to cross pinky fingers Jeongin" You giggled.

"O-oh! Yeah... I see"
Get a grip Yang Jeongin, since when were you this flustered over anything?!

"Then it's a promise!"
