*Shawn's Point Of View*

"Okay, three... two... one... push!" The female doctor said as Emily pushed harshly for more then five seconds.

"It's out! Father do you wish to cut the cord?" She asked making my eyes shoot to hers. I nodded shakily, scared to get the first glimpse of my new baby.

I shakily followed the male doctors instructions, successfully cutting the cord before the baby was wrapped in a thin blanket.

"Emily?... Emily!" I heard Carly voice shout making my eyes drift from my new baby to my fiancée how was now laying passed out and pale on the hospital bed.

"Check her pulse!" The female doctor shouted causing the male doctor to jump up and place a finger on her neck, under jaw.

"It's there... very weak" He said looking back over to the female doctor.

"Take the baby to the ER and get her cleaned up" she demanded as she began to fill a syringe with a clear liquid before injecting it into Emily's left fore arm.

Immediately, her body began to convulse and shake rapidly, her heart monitor beside her flashing a bright red as quick beeps filled the room and the number continued to drop.

"Emily!" I shouted pushing myself towards her body to grab her face.

"Baby, please don't do this. Y-you have to wake up" I said rubbing her cheeks softly. Tears begin to fill my eyes as I stared at my lifeless fiancée.

Doctors and nurses, head to toe in green scrubs began to flood the room and push Carly out.

"Come on baby, you have to get up. See our beautiful baby... so beautiful. Just like you-" I was interrupted by a doctor grabbing my arm to try pull me away.

"Get the fuck off me. I'm her husband! I'm not fucking leaving her!" I shouted at the doctors who was trying to get me out.

"You aren't allowed in here sir. It's against protocol. You need to leave now sir or we can't assist your wife. Please sir" The female doctor pleaded as other doctors raced around the bed, getting a defibrillator out.

I nodded, "please make sure she's okay" I said softly grabbing her wrist. "I will do everything I can sir" she responded with a sad smile before I exited the room to see a stressed Carly, pacing back and forth down the hallway.

I slowly and shakily made my way to the chair against the wall and sat down. I felt my ears begin to ring loudly, all the sounds around me zoning out into a loud long beep.

The sound of Carly's feet against the floor stopped. The sound of the children's laughter down the corridor stopped. The sound of the commotion in the room I was just in stopped.

"Oh fuck... Shawn" I heard Carly say, her feet coming to a halt in front of me. I stared aimlessly at the ground, my body frozen in complete and utter shock.
