I stared at myself in the mirror and glare at my navy blue fitted knee length gown with my silver heels

Have wore this same pair of heels a couple of times, I think it's due for a change, I need to do a big shopping to get rid of my sloppy wardrobe

But honestly I don't see why I am dressing up for an outing with simon
I should have just call it off
But he didn't exactly make it easy for me
Since he found out about my apartment he made it an habit to make an appearance here everyday and I don't want to be rude since I have abruptly declined his invite several times already
Although I wouldn't be bothered if I just call it off now... It's better than leading him on

I sighed and check my phone
He has beeped me three times already. And he has been downstairs even before I took my shower

I took my phone and head downstairs
He was standing by his car wearing a black suit
I moved closer to him and I could see him coming with one of his close hugs and cheek kisses and I can't deal

I quickly turned in the other direction of the car

"Let's get going.... We don't want to be stuck in traffic "

He smiled and still hurry to open the front door for me

"I must say you look so beautiful , blue suits you, everything suits you "

"Thanks "
I hopped in quickly and shut the door
I just want to get over tonight
He must have gotten the cue because he kept to himself the whole drive to the restaurant

The restaurant was a storey building and the car park was like a 100miles away from the building so we had to walk

Our table was at the far end of the room by the window
Simon ushered me into the seat and I smiled back at him
Trying to suppress my own anger

I shouldn't be here
Not after my encounter with Patricia, I should be making moves on how to bring the big dog down
Not dining with some cheesy dude who is in no way adding any value to my reason for being Here

I would just wait for 30minutes after which I would order for Uber and go straight home ... Find some excuse to keep him from taking me home
I think I've had enough of this fun fair

Cold hands held mine and I jumped from the contact and pulled my hand away from his

"Sorry i startled you...... Are You OK"

"Yeah am good am fine.. "

"Coz You were not here just now..I've been talking to you but you didn't respond "

"It's nothing.. I was just thinking of something "

"And You are sure... You are OK"

"Yeah am good can we order now.... I mean we don't have all day "

"OK... "
He signaled to the waiter and we made our orders
Simon wanted me to try everything so I let him make the order
I dont think I have the energy to argue

Our main course was Basmatic Rice and fish sauce with salad and chicken wings and a glass of fruit wine to go
I savored the delicious meal and I was actually glad I allowed Simon to make the order

"Yeah its very delicious "

"I told you.... I know what exactly taste good on their menu on different days.. If today was Friday I would have taken you to spoon it. At macualay way l.... "

He went on and on and I zoned out, and went with the meal as we await dessert
His phone buzzed and I glared at it on the table..
It was Philip calling

Juliet told me Philip traveled last week and I am not sure if he's back and I've been so preoccupied with him in my dreams than bothering to know his whereabouts for real

"Ohhh it's Philip calling "

Simon grinned as he answered the call

"Hello my man.... Your what...
Wait I don't understand.........
Where's Godwin....... For real....... Didn't she know you were flying in today..... No....... That's sick..... Am actually on a date with my sugar plum.... Yeah she's here.... Okay... Am on my way "
He hung up

"What was that about "
I said as I sipped my drink

"Philip is stranded at the airport and he can't reach his driver and Julie is not picking up too..... He wants to take a cab but because of his status and he doesn't want the media eating up his mess so.... I have to go pick him up right now"

"ow.... OK "

"Am really sorry.. If it were anybody else I won't end this lovely dinner for whatsoever reasons "

"No... Don't worry about it, I think I should even come with you "

"Really... OK let's go"

we paid the bills and walked out of the building and drove straight to the airport

15minutes later we pulled over at the airport and Simon called him
He showed up few minutes later wearing a sweatshirt and jeans looking.........so young

Simon hopped down and helped him with his bag

I hopped down thinking he might want to come in through the front and take the front seat

Not knowing he was already hopping in the backseat through the other side it wasn't until I was shutting the door that I noticed him

Overpowering me with that breathtaking face and fragrance

"I. Uhhhhm... I thought you were coming in through the front and taking the front seat "

"Uhhh no.... I didn't even know you were here. It's good to see you "

"Huh.... Same here, welcome back "
I smiled

"Thanks"

"I should go back to the front seat "

He held my hand
"No.. Stay... Let's catch up "
Simon hopped in and looked at me

"Hey babe...... You left me here on my own".

"We are going to be stuck in traffic stupid...... Just drive "
Simon chuckled softly and kicked the start engine

I tried to concentrate on the drive but my mind can't seem to stop pounding with this man beside me
Simon kept the conversation going and drag me in every now and then

"Should I drop you off at home or at the office.... "

"I think I need to go to blue shore first "

"Right now.... But I need to drop Genesis at home"

"No.... She's coming with me.. Right "

I answered absent mindedly

"Just drive... Simon "

"What's going on....... Where are we going to"

Philip smiled and looked through the window

Why did I follow Simon to the airport now I have dragged myself into this mess
