I walk to the stage and hug and peck Laura the host collecting the mic 🎤 from her
I smiled and place a hand on my chest

I Stare at the written speech I place on the podium and stare at the crowd in front of me. This is a dream come through and even bigger than my expectations
"Goodevening everyone... Men and women of dignities.. It is with great honor I stand before you today to express my sincerest gratitude to everyone of you..... "
I shake my head and squeeze the paper in one hand. I don't think I would be needing this.
What I need to say is right in my head
"I never thought a day like this would come, a day to celebrate our first anniversary........ It started like a joke about a year ago after a huge scandal when myself, my Aunt Pamela, Tris, Mira, and Barr Lucy had a heart to heart talk on how to end the incessant increase of sexual assault in our community. It was alarming and disturbing concern to us all as women. So we took a step and we started with our dear Salia....... Who is now one of our counsellors... "
Salia stood up and waved.
"Thank You salia..... And that how we moved gradually from my living room to a whole building.... It wasn't easy the road was tough we had alot of threats from people of high class but we didn't give up, we didn't stop and that's how we were able to have this
As we speak we have over 70 occupant all rape victims and of which twelve are soon to become mothers.we have also established that we don't only have female victims.. They are also male children suffering from this criminal acts... We are not going to stop here.... Our research team are working endlessly to pull victims out of this hell and putting their culprits behind bars
I also want to say a big thank you to all our sponsors..... It is because you didn't give up on us that why we can expand to give all our occupant a hope for a better future .... It been a whole year of greatness and I believe we can achieve more together

With that I bowed and walk down the stage.. Another round of applause in the air as I go back to my seat
The ceremony ended promptly, myself and the ladies were at the entrance appreciating all our guests.. We were able to have the influential people to grace the occasion and we were more than happy
After the pace was cleared.. I look around for him but I couldn't find him. He couldn't have gone far.
I walked out to the other side of the hall to the space outside and there he was strapped in his chair glaring at the stars
"This tux looks amazing on you "
He turned and face me

I sat on his laps and place a kiss on his lips wrapping my hand around his neck.. He grinned and then turn to stare at the stars
