I used to think that the world was fun and filled with laughter
I used to think that everyone was the popular ones
I used to think that everyone child could get along
I used to think that everyone was called beautiful
I used to think that we were all seen as equal
But not anymore
What happened
Society happened
Society has shown me that the world can be harsh
Society has showed me only certain people can be popular
Society has shown me that if a kid makes fun of you they like you and if they fight you they want to be friends
Society has show me that apparently girls are only pretty with makeup and boys are only cool if they are hanging out with these certin guys
Society has shown we are not all seen as equal
I used to see the world one way
Why did it change
Because society decided it needed to change
And it has tried to force on a veiw for all to see
I used to be innocent and young
But not anymore
