one believer's prayer

soon feathers flutter down

dripping with smooth crimson liquid

landing all around bodies in slick puddles

not noticing the shape it forms

crunching sounds echo through the valley

making the people panic and going into a frenzy

awaking the children who had rested

unknown noises spark up around

soft moans off to the left, alert the leader

while he defends some others fall

black dots shout out from tree to tree

and feast on the ones saw fit

all this would have been avoided

if one little thing hadn't happened

the little bird, if only the feather hadn't fallen

or maybe hadn't landed in the shape it did

oh the demons devour earth

letting it rot till it is gone

but it stops as angels lead light

growing back life

thanks to one believer's prayer
