all the mysteries it hides
all the secrets it holds
will we ever understand
why no one knows
a beautiful sight like this
people star for hours
wondering what lies beyond the horizon
a place they can not reach
with waves of coldness
and splashes of chills
and standing there still
listening for hours
watching the sun set
and stars come out
yet still we stand
watching the ocean
