sometimes it takes more to forgive
sometimes it takes more to forget
but there are times where it is enough
that it isn't to little
is it too much to ask for a hand to hold
to go through life together
yet have that all demolished when someone joins
have what we had torn apart
have you forgotten the fun we had
maybe it's there somewhere waiting to awaken
but you mind is clouded by their words
our time fading away
there are those who stay strong
not letting others pull them apart
making their bond strong
telling them to fight back
my friend left me behind on our path
on your journey towards a new one your roam
leaveing me behind on my own or to trail behind you
i chose to trail for a while not wanting to let go
but now i think i shall go my own way
start a new path of my own
as our path has diverged
and our friendship trail is stretched thin
