it was the night
the night of darkness
at least that's what we thought
but then He came and led us along
He brought us to victory
sure some were lost along the way
but they did it to fight back
this time we will end the darkness
end it's reign no longer will it come
He led us along and made us smile
we smiled because we won
we cried because the lives we lost
we laughed because our friends still stood
we believed because we had something worth fighting for
we trusted because we knew
He would lead us
He could take us forward
there was a time of darkness
but the light is on top now
we beat it
because we believed
He came
