When Emma, Sophie and I
Filmed our house reviewing show
My main criteria was balcony's
Good balcony, good house
Over the years I've thought through the many qualities of a good balcony:
Low enough to get a clear picture of what's going on;
High enough so no one can catch you watching;
The railing can't be so low that you could fall off;
But not so high as to obstruct the view;
And there must be holey bits to slot your feet in;
Material: wood or metal, not both;
Too big: and it's a room without a roof;
Those so called balconies which are just doors with some railings over them: bullshit.And yet,
I don't own one
I've been campaigning for years
But my parents gave into getting a cat first
And turns out I'm not definetly going to do all the chores surrounding the catAt this point you must be wondering
Why is she so fucking pationate about balconies?
And will I get that answer without an emotional rant
Haha
No.Balconies,
(Yep strap in we are doing this,)
Allow you to be outside
Nature surrounding
Wind gently blowing through your hair.
But yet,
It's only two steps to the door.
They allow you to watch the scene unfold
Without the palava of having to be inside it
All hot and bothered.
The chairs are usually comfortable enough
But make your bum ache if you stay to long.
They are an escape,
from the business of inside
To calm cold all emposing outside.
Whether you want to watch:
People or nature
Care or boats
It's all there
If you go out the right door.But watch out for the "balconies" or you'll face a nasty fall.
