B*tch

First time you hear the word
It's your first steps on the bus
First steps in the big leagues
It's said so loud so confidently
You flinch at such harsh language

Year 8
Your friend is having a fight
It's their final grenade

Year 9
You start to test it out
Giggling whenever someone gets close enough
To maybe overhear

Year 10
It's a form of affection
"Yo b*tch"
Now your the ones shouting it on the bus
But it's still the most satisfying insult
So when you hear of your ex
Using it behind your back
It hurts a little
Also feels like a victory
As that word tells you more about how she's doing then it ever does about you
But for good measure
You call her one back
Trying not to let your empathy tell you it's exactly the same
Anyway
It's just word
A female dog
One whisperer, then shouted, now said causally
But if directed at you in a meaningful way
It hurts, no matter the volume.

Notes
I'm not sure about how language restrictions work so I'm just going to write it like that. As I don't want to offend anyone. I really like this one. The growth is great. And that's a whole bus ride used on typing up these poems. Hope your having an ok week.
