"ok im going out for an hour or two."
My friends dad says
We barely even notice
Too focused on the whispered conversation
That my too loud voice is definitely not suited for
Until my friend's face lights up
She half skips, half creeps towards the alcohol cupboard
Holds up a clear bottle
"want a top up?"I nod
She looks surprised
"Well I never thought I'd see this,
The inscrutable Emily agreeing to alcohol"
I smile gently
As the idea of a substance that makes you forget
More than appeals
To little 'innocent ' meIt hits me quickly
Spinning the world in directions I didn't know possible
"oooh you can ask Emily whatever you want."
My friend giggles
I smile
Knowing it will take more then two shots of potatoe juice
To make me lose control
I may spill a bit more
But that's because the conversation is more open
Not any alcohol plyingRound 2:
We clinc our 'j20s' together
"to potato juice
40% alcohol but 100% potatoes"
We sit in silence for a second
"you know,"
My friend says
"potatoes are good for everything"
I nod in hearty agreement
"cheers!"Notes
So the prompt thing kinda got abandoned I just have so many ideas right now.
I do like this one, it doesn't flow amazingly well but I'm pretty pleased with it.
I have a pretty good one lined up for next week so look forward to that.
