Kagome yawned as she woke up from her slumber. She wiped her eyes before opening them and looked around. She was in Kaede's hut, near the fire pit, where she slept when she first arrived here in the past. Thinking about it, she couldn't believe that she had been coming to this place for about a year. She looked across the room and saw Sango lying down, sleep. When she didn't see Kirara or Kippou, she assumed that they mush have been outside, sleeping in the forests or something.

She stood up and stretched. Making her way to the back of the hut, she saw Kagura, leaning against a large jar, fast asleep. She had honestly forgot that the demoness was here. However, seeing her face, instantly reminded her of the person who had brought the woman here in the first place. Naruto. The red head was indeed a mystery to her.

He had just appeared out of nowhere. Without a trace of history or background. The first weird thing about him was hair and eyes. She had never seen anyone with hair that red or eyes like his in her life. His red hair was even more odd then Inuyasha's silver mane. Then it was his choice of weapons and attire. Since she's been here, she had never seen a samurai who wielded a bow-staff nor a swords man who carried two katana. It was an odd combination.

Next it was that mask that was covering the lower half of his face. Her eyes were itching to see what he was hiding under the facial mask. When he took off his hat, they could only see his eyes and slightly below. Anything past the middle of his nose, was covered by his mask. Then there was that thing he did to heal her. She was amazed to see how quickly her wound had mended itself and appeared as though she had never been wounded in the first place. Yes, Naruto Uzumaki was a large puzzle.

Kagome grabbed a small cup and went to the water jar. She dipped her cup in the jar, filling it up with water, before pulling it out and drinking it. As she finished her water, Kagome sniffed herself and her face contorted into a frown. 'I stink.....' she thought to herself as put her cup way and began to make her back to her resting area.

She needed to bathe. Badly. As she rummaged through the sheets to grab her bag, the teen heard Sango begin to stir in her sleep.

"Kagome?" Sango mumbled as she began to wake up.

Kagome stopped at the sound of her name being called. She turned around to face the demon slayer. "Yes?" she answered.

Sango slowly opened her eyes and sat up. She turned to see Kagome looking at her with a bag in her hand. "What are you doing?" she said groggily as she tried to wake up.

"I'm going to bathe." Kagome said as she stood with her bookbag. "I stink."

Sango giggled as she began to stand as well. "Well I'm coming with." Sango said with a yawn as she stretched. "I'm in need of a bath as well."

Once Sango got her things, her and Kagome walked out of the hut and began to make their way towards the river, were they usually bathed. Looking at the sky, they could tell that it was around 2 hours past sunrise. Eight o'clock in the morning to be exact. As they walked through the forests to get to the river, Kagome began to start a conversation with her.

"So what do you think of him?" Kagome asked as they walked.

"You mean, Naruto?" Sango asked. Kagome nodded her head. "I find him strange. To say the least."

Kagome nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah. He's very odd." she said. "I've never encountered anyone like him since I've been in this time."

"I wonder why he carries a staff." Sango mused. "I mean, usually when I see someone with a staff like his, its a monk or an elder. However, he doesn't appear to be a monk and he looks young. He can't be no more than 17 years old."
