Chapter 31 - A Deal

It didn't take long for team Inu to arrived to the nearest village and get a hut. Everyone entered the hut as Naruto laid her down with his cloak still covering her. He grabbed a large wooden bin that he saw in the hut and disappeared. Five minutes later, he reappeared in hut with the bin filled with clean water. Inuyasha could smell the herbal scents in the water and raised an eyebrow. Naruto placed the bin in another corner of the hut before turning back towards team Inu, who was looking at him curiously.

"I need everyone to leave, except Kagome and Sango." he said.

"Why?" Inuyasha asked.

"Because I need help cleaning her wounds." Naruto said. "She will need to be undressed."

"And you are staying?" Miroku asked with a raised eye-brow.

"Yes. Yes I am." Naruto said as he took of his hat and placed it on top of his staff before leaning it against the wall. He then turned to the gang. "Everyone out except for the two mentioned people......now!" he said in his Hokage voice.

Everyone left after that. They didn't know why, but the way he said it made them feel like it was better if they just listen, seeing that he said with an edge that made them a bit nervous and uncomfortable. When everyone left, he turned to Kagome and Sango.

"Undress her." he ordered.

"You are going to stay as we bathe her?" Sango said with her hands on her hips. "Do you think that is appropriate?"

Naruto looked at her sharply. "Just get her undressed. Her wounds need to be cleaned. What is appropriate is that she gets the proper amount of treatment before she dies." he said crisply, before turning away from them and walking to the bin.

Sango was about to protest, when she felt Kagome's hand on her shoulder, she turned to look at her. Kagome shook her head as if silently telling her to let it go. Kagome just walked to Kagura and kneeled beside her. Sango sighed in defeat before following Kagome's footsteps. They removed the cloak from around the demoness before stripping her of her tattered kimono. As they did this, Naruto stopped in front of the bin and put a finger in the water. Using his fire affinity, he brought the medicinal water to a soft boil. He then disappeared from the hut again.

When Sango looked around, she saw that Naruto was no longer in the hut and there was steam coming out of the bin of water, indicating that it was hot. "Where did he go?" she asked.

At this, Kagome looked around as well and noticed that the red head was no longer there. "I don't know." she said in both curiosity and confusion. "I wonder where he went."

"Come on. Let's just get her into the bath so she can wash already." Sango said.

Kagome nodded. They both lifted the girl from the floor and placed her in the bath. She whimpered as the slightly hot water touched her wounds. Sango went to grab two clothes before returning to the bin. The girls had been washing the blood and sweat off of Kagura for almost 10 minutes when Naruto suddenly reappeared in the hut.

"I brought some chest wrappings and a pair of underwear for her." he said causing the two girls to jump. They didn't even hear when he came in.

"A little warning next time would be nice." Sango said as she gathered her wits from the shock.

"My apologies." Naruto said. He went and grabbed a small empty basin before turning to the women. "I am going to get some water. I will be back." he said as he disappeared again.

'How does he do that?' Sango and Kagome thought as he disappeared from the spot he was once standing. Deciding his was time for Kagura to get out, Kagome went to retrieve a towel. Once she returned, they got Kagura out of the bath and dried her off. They then, wrapped the bindings around her chest and placed the underwear onto her body. After that, they laid her down again and placed the blanket over her.
