It's been three days since Naruto arrived to the modern period and today was the day he and Kagome would be returning to the Feudal Era. Kagome had to admit that his stay there hadn't been as bad as she expected. With the exception of the pranks he pulled at the during the last two days of school, he was well behaved and didn't cause her too many problems. He seemed to have made a good impression on her family and friends, and she found herself getting more comfortable around him.

Like he said during his first day at her school, the red head treated her like a sister. He may have done things for her like carry her bag or compliment her, but she could tell it was in a more friendly sense. Despite of his playful nature that would sometimes annoy her, she could see that he honestly cared and always checked on her to make sure she was okay. Oddly, she felt like she could trust him, even though she'd only known him for a little less than a week.

Naruto said bye to everyone and he and Kagome left the shrine and walked back to the well at a leisure pace. The two walked in comfortable silence as they walked down the stony path, toward the storage house where the well resided. Naruto allowed to her to carry her own bag this time, seeing that she was about to protest. As they entered into the storage area, they descended down the steps, closing the door behind them.

When they reached the well, they stopped. Kagome sighed as she stared down at the darkness of the well with her backpack slung over her shoulder. Although she was enjoying her time off, she knew that she had needed to return. After all, the jewel shards weren't going to collect themselves.

"Ready?" Naruto said, pulling her out of her musings.

Kagome took a deep breath before she nodded. "I guess." she said.

Without a word, Naruto wrapped his arm around her waist and jumped into the well. The colorful, warm magic began to envelope them once more until the darkness of the well returned and the once dirt floor became one with bone. They looked up and could see bright blue skies. The blow of the wind carried the scent of fresh wood and leaves, the scent of the forests. Naruto smiled at this - the kiss of nature gracing his sense.

He picked Kagome up bridal style and jumped straight out of the well with one jump, causing Kagome to yelp in surprise. When they landed on the green grass of the forest, Naruto put Kagome down, who had been holding onto him for dear life.

"Warn me next time, will ya?" she said as she gathered her bearings.

"Hn" Naruto responded as he began to walk off.

After he waited for Kagome to catch up with him, the two began to make their way through the Inuyasha's Forest and onto the path toward the village. They walked in comfortable silence, the only sound being the sounds of wildlife and shaking of tree's through Japan's cool winds. Naruto closed his eyes. He inhaled and exhaled deeply. Although there was a lot more nature energy in his time period, the energy he could feel in this era was sufficient enough.

As they continued to walk, the wet fields began to come to view, letting them know that they were nearing the village. Kagome wondered where they'd be heading next to find a jewel shard. She really hoped things would be easier, now that they had Naruto. She turned to look at the said red head. Her eyes widened in slight surprise.

He was now donning his large conical hat on his head and had his two katana at his hip. In his hand, he was once again, walking with his staff. She couldn't see his face, due to his large hat. 'Where the hell did he get that?' Kagome thought to herself as he just looked at him dumbly. She was about to open her mouth to say something, but decided against. She figured it was probably best if she didn't think about it to hard.
