"Focus, Kagome. Visualize the power within yourself and call it forth." Naruto instructed as he sat in a meditative stance, a few feet away from the girl who was also sitting in a meditative stance, in the center of a large clearing. While his hat stilled donned his head, his staff and katana were resting beside a tree.

That had been at this for over three weeks now, since there return back to the modern era. He had been meeting with Kagome three times a week for practice, allowing her the rest of her time to do whatever it was she wanted to do, which was sleep he assumed.

When ever she would return to the Feudal era for her training, she was barely given the opportunity to see or speak to anyone. Naruto knew that Inuyasha would give him a hard time about how long the training would take so he tried his best to avoid him. In his opinion, Inuyasha needed to be training himself instead of worrying about someone else's training.

During their time training, Naruto had been completely focused on summoning every ounce of untapped power Kagome had within her. It was as he expected. She had an impressive amount. From what he had seen, if he were to place her power in terms of Ninja categories, he would have to say that she was at best an elite jounin level. Now that he had thought about, in his encounters with Midoriko, he had to guess that her power was equivalent to that of two or three Kages. It amazed him how, in his training with her, Kagome's raw power was already beginning to catch up.

While he spent most of their time training her in tapping into her power, he also taught her some taijutsu basics. He stuck with the basics because the girl sucked in all honesty. She had little stamina, wasn't very fast, and had no sense of balance or footwork. Her reflexes were a little above average, however, she didn't know any basic counters. Taijutsu was definitely an area that took time to work on and trying to push advanced fighting styles on someone who isn't used to it who do more harm than good.

Naruto was cut out of his musings when he felt a surge of power come from the miko in-training. 'Thank goodness.' Naruto said to himself with his eyes still closed as he felt the power surge. 'Now, all she has to do is learn how to control it.' he thought inwardly.

"Kagome!" Naruto called out. "You can stop now!"

However, the said girl couldn't hear him. Her powers were well unknown to her as it surged through her body, clouding her senses from the outside world around her. The girl gritted her teeth as she felt the power swell from deep within. She felt it start to rise from her stomach (her core) and then spread to every last single part of her body. Her skin tingled at the sensation as the hairs on the back of her neck stood on end. Out of no where, a furious wind arrived, forming what appeared to be a whirlwind around her, making her black locks rise.

It was at this point that Naruto immediately open his eyes and rose from where he sat. He had to stop her or she would kill herself. Or better yet, act as a beacon to their location.

"KAGOME! YOU HAVE TO STOP NOW!" he cried as he held onto his hat that threatened to fly off from his head, due to the raging winds.

"KUSO!" he cursed himself at seeing her unresponsive form.

Steeling himself with chakra, Naruto began to make his way to the pillar of pink light that had formed where the miko sat. Bracing himself, he walked through the barrier. He wasn't worrying about her powers affecting him since his yokai in combination with his chakra was entirely too potent and strong for her powers. The only thing he felt were tingles that danced across his skin. He took a deep breath before charging into the pillars core.

Kagome suddenly felt a hand hit her chest, just beneath her neck, as she came back to reality. In seconds, all that power had returned to her, making her feel like someone gave her a hard punch to the gut. The miko hunched forward and coughed as she gasped for breath, needing to get air back into her lungs.
