Naruto rushed through the trees. He knew who's signature he had felt earlier and needed to get there quickly. He saw her get hit by Kagome's arrow and disappear. So how was it that she was still alive? Thinking about it further, he did remember something about the woman being one of Naraku's incantations. Is that ability that type of magic has? To bring back a dead demon?

As Naruto lost himself in his musings, he easily passed Ginta and Hakkaku while quickly passing Inuyasha's mid-jounin level speed in a fairly small amount of time. He didn't even notice when he passed Koga, who was just as fast as Kakashi. He was only snapped out of his thoughts when he heard a snarl coming from far behind him. He could tell it came from Koga and could feel his jealousy as he tried to catch up to him. Naruto only smirked and only sped up to irritate the wolf-demon even more.

When the former ninja reached his target, he silently landed on a tree branch above them. He looked down to see the broken form of the woman beneath him. Her raven black hair stuck to the pale porcelain skin of her face and her red and white kimono were tattered, barely covering her body. His eyes saddened at the sight. He only had one guess of who would do something so disgusting. Something so inhumane.

Naruto leapt down and landed on the ground gracefully. He looked down and stared at her face. "Kagura?" he called out softly. He got no response.

He sighed as he knelt down beside her and sat his staff down on the ground. Her hair was matted against her forehead, drenched in sweat and blood. Her eyes were shut tight in pain. Her body was curled up into a fetal position, in desperate attempt to alleviate some of the pain that racked her body. Her body trembled and shivered, from both the coolness of the night brushing her bare skin and the endless pain she was feeling at the moment. Naruto's heart went out to her.

The hatted man stood as he felt Koga signature draw closer to their location. Three seconds later, Koga exploded from the forest, sending splinters and wood flying everywhere. His eyes were clouded with deep rage as he ran to attack the nearly dead demoness. Naruto narrowed his eyes as he saw the mutt dash toward them.

Koga snarled as he reared back his claws back and prepared to deliver a fatal blow to the beaten woman. He cried out in pain as he was forcefully stopped by a firm grip on his wrist. He turned to find Naruto's hatted form holding him. He still could see his face, due to his large conical hat. He snarled at him.

"Now, isn't this a tad bit unfair?" Naruto stated more than asked.'

Koga growled darkly in response. As he tried to take a swipe at the figure, he suddenly found himself face-flat on the ground. The wolf-yokai moved to get up and found out that he couldn't. He tried and tried again, but it ended with the same result of immobility. His eyes widened as he began to panic.

"What did you do to me?!" he snarled.

"Temporary paralysis." Naruto replied with indifference. "You should be able to move within the hour." he said as he walked back up to Kagura. His sadness returned as he looked down upon the girl.

"When I get up, I'm gonna kill that bitch!" Koga growled in rage and frustration as he lied on the ground hopelessly.

"We'll see." Naruto said dismissively.

Koga was about to say something else, when the trees began to russle. Coming out of the trees, was Inuyasha. He looked at the scene before him before crossing his arms and glaring at Naruto's back. "You had better have a good explanation for this." he said with a hint of annoyance.

"Hn." Naruto responded.

A few minutes later, Ginta and Hakkaku arrived. They were about to go up to Koga, but were stopped in their tracks with a sharp glare from Inuyasha and a feeling of death that began to consume them. Of course, that feeling was Naruto's killer intent that he was aiming at them. Around 20 minutes later, the rest of the Inu gang arrive. At this time, Naruto was inspecting her wounds. Upon their arrival, Inuyasha decided it was the perfect time to question the hatted man.
